ABOUT US
Appnable is a UK software company delivering AI-powered software, Microsoft 365 solutions and ERP implementations for clients in the UK, UAE and internationally. Our engineering, QA, design and marketing teams are based in Nigeria and work remotely.
We run several client projects at once and need one person who owns the view across all of them.
THE ROLE
You will run delivery across every active engagement and own the operational admin that keeps the business running. Delivery covers engineering, QA, design and marketing, not just the engineers.
The job is to make the business predictable: one accurate view of what is happening, dates that are met, clear ownership, and problems surfaced before the client notices.
It is not an Executive Assistant role, and it is not a Scrum Master role where you run ceremonies and report status upward. You will be expected to understand what is happening, challenge unclear or missed commitments, and drive actions through to completion.
Technical decisions and engineering quality remain with our engineering leads. Your responsibility is making sure the work is properly planned, visible, coordinated and delivered.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- A single live view of every engagement: scope, status, who is on what, what is slipping and why
- Weekly delivery cadence across all four teams
- Holding team leads to committed dates, identifying slippage early and agreeing recovery plans
- Client-facing status updates and joining delivery calls where required
- Resource planning: who is available, who is overloaded and what the next project needs
- Risks and blockers, resolved at your level wherever possible
- Scope and delivery effort: identifying scope creep and projects consuming more time or resource than expected
- Hiring and onboarding admin: job posts, scheduling, offer letters, contracts, accounts and access
- People and company admin: contract dates, renewals, probation reviews, time off, licences and internal policies
You will not be expected to personally do everything. You will be expected to know what needs to happen, who owns it, when it is due and whether it has actually been done.
REQUIREMENTS
- NYSC completed (discharge certificate or valid exemption)
- Minimum 4 years of post-NYSC full-time professional experience, including substantial experience in delivery, project management or operations. Internships, work undertaken while studying, and freelance projects alongside a degree do not count towards this requirement
- Direct experience holding a technical team to deadlines
- Experience coordinating across functions, not only engineering
- Strong enough organisational skills to maintain an accurate view across several projects at once
- Confidence to challenge missed dates and unclear ownership, regardless of seniority
- Written English strong enough to go straight to a UK client
- Availability for UK working hours overlap
- Reliable power and internet, and your own equipment
Useful but not required: agile certification, consultancy or agency background, exposure to ERP or Microsoft 365 projects, experience with UK or European clients.
GROWTH
The role is built to grow. As the remit widens into resourcing decisions, client relationships and leading a small operations function, pay moves with it.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply through LinkedIn with your CV, including answers to these three questions in a cover note or at the top of your CV. Keep your answers to 400 words in total. Applications without answers will not be reviewed.
State at the top of your answer how many years of full-time work experience you have since completing NYSC.
- Name two projects you ran end to end. For each: how many people, over what period, what was delivered, and what slipped.
- Describe a time someone senior to you missed a committed date. What did you do, and what was the outcome?
- What is the one thing you would ask to see in your first week here, and why?
Shortlisted candidates will complete a short practical exercise before interview.
- We are reviewing applications as they arrive and may close this advert early.
