The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to support dental professionals with clinical procedures, patient preparation, treatment-room organization, and day-to-day dental operations. The ideal candidate is attentive, compassionate, organized, and comfortable working closely with dentists, patients, and healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment before procedures.
- Assist dentists and clinical staff during examinations and dental procedures.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately while providing professional reassurance.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment areas.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and clinical surfaces according to established procedures.
- Prepare dental materials and supplies as directed by the treating clinician.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Support appointment preparation, patient flow, and treatment coordination.
- Provide patients with appropriate instructions regarding appointments and basic post-treatment care as directed by clinical staff.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply requirements.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing dental materials and consumables.
- Follow infection-control, hygiene, safety, and clinical procedures consistently.
- Handle patient information with strict confidentiality and professionalism.
- Coordinate effectively with dentists, hygienists, reception, and administrative teams.
- Support administrative tasks related to dental services where required.
- Identify equipment, supply, or workflow issues and escalate them appropriately.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Dental Assistant or in a related dental clinical-support role preferred.
- Relevant dental assisting qualification or equivalent practical training preferred.
- Understanding of dental procedures, instruments, infection control, sterilization, and clinical-room preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent interpersonal and patient-service skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and organized in a clinical environment.
- Good knowledge of dental equipment, materials, and basic clinical terminology.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with dentists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Professional certifications or local licensing are not required unless specifically relevant to the applicable clinical setting.
