Deputy IT Project Manager
Location: Gdańsk, Gdynia, Warszawa, or Łódź (Hybrid: 3 days per week from the office)
Rate: Up to 130 PLN/h net + VAT (B2B)
Cooperation model: B2B contract signed directly with Optiveum
About the project:
We are currently looking for a Senior-level Deputy IT Project Manager for our client, a prominent organization in the banking and financial services sector.
In this role, you will support the Project Lead in executing the RACF Access Control, Onboarding & Clean-up track. You will be responsible for day-to-day delivery activities and managing project delivery teams (14 FTEs in total). You will drive progress, define approaches and processes in close collaboration with the RACF Integration Team and other IAM/Mainframe experts, and facilitate effective stakeholder engagement to ensure the timely delivery of key milestones.
Your responsibilities:
Acting as a Deputy to the RACF Project Leader in planning, coordinating, and executing project activities.
Driving progress across Business Delivery (BD) teams and ensuring delivery against agreed timelines and milestones.
Facilitating daily project team stand-ups, focused virtual workshops, and ad-hoc stakeholder meetings.
Maintaining action and decision logs, as well as project documentation.
Driving accountability for actions and commitments across participating project stakeholders.
Tracking project risks, issues, dependencies, and actions, escalating them when appropriate.
Maintaining project progress trackers and preparing status reports and presentations for management.
Supporting project governance processes and reporting requirements.
Identifying, qualifying, and implementing automation opportunities to improve project delivery efficiency.
Requirements:
Proven senior-level experience managing or coordinating IT projects within banking, financial services, or other regulated environments.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to drive delivery, manage priorities, and resolve obstacles in complex projects.
Strong understanding of project governance, reporting, and risk management practices.
Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and access control processes.
Familiarity with RACF or mainframe security environments is highly desirable.
Understanding of regulatory, audit, and risk management requirements within financial institutions.
Experience with process analysis, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, planning, and organizational capabilities.
Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority.
Advanced proficiency in English.
