Design Authority £45,000 Per Annum - £55,000 Per Annum Job Scope The role is responsible for taking customer design instructions and co-ordinating them to the project workflow manager. Reviewing the customer requirements and based on the technical specifications producing a design instruction, the Design Authority is to review the designs to ensure compliance to customer specifications and requirements and submit/upload them to customer systems for customer for approval. Needs to Have Good Technical understanding of Telecommunications Industry design standards essential Experience In a Technical Design role is essential Knowledge of current UK H&S regulations and design standards Excellent Commercial aptitude Strong understanding of project methodology Excellent oral and written communications skills Strong leadership and coaching skills Strong organisational ability with experience in MS Project or similar project tools Proven skills in delivery of project KPI’s and experience in customer facing role Needs to Do Produce Design instructions to KTL partners and support customer dependencies Review Designs from KTL partners and confirm design and compliant with client standards Highlight and escalate major design variance through the project team Review and confirm site can be built in accordance with design. Act as the main point of contact between the customer and the project team Implementation and maintenance of relevant approved processes, procedures, health and safety and technical standards and ensure their consistency with requirements of other departments Management of the relevant sub-contractors, monitor performance in terms of time, cost, quality and health & safety Oversee drawing revision process manage all corrective actions prior to client handover Responsible for ensuring all handover documentation is completed and submitted Right First Time Needs to be Detail oriented with a strong focus on quality Able to communicate with people across multiple locations and at different levels Able to identify and work with key stakeholders inside and outside of the business Able to manage assigned tasks, tracking tasks to completion and reporting on progress Strong communication skill Department UK Telecoms Role Design Authority Location UK Wide Remote status Hybrid About KTL For over 28 years, KTL has been a leading provider of fast, effective, and reliable engineering services across the professional services, telecommunications, and power sectors.
