Design Engineer (Entry Level Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline grad opportunity!!!) Overview We are seeking a Design Engineer to support infrastructure and utility-related engineering projects. This role involves creating and reviewing designs, developing technical drawings, conducting field assessments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule. The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD skills, a technical engineering, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Develop and maintain engineering designs, layouts, and technical drawings. Utilize AutoCAD, and other design tools to support project execution. Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders. Support field activities including site visits, measurements, inspections, and project documentation. Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and project objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline. Internship experience or up to 2 years of engineering experience preferred. Proficiency with AutoCAD; GIS experience is a plus. Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills. EIT certification is a plus. Ability to travel locally for occasional site visits. Work Environment Hybrid work schedule with a combination of office and remote work. Collaborative team environment with mentorship from experienced engineers. Local travel required for project and site support activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lisle, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
