The Independent Review Office is an independent statutory body in NSW that helps people that have been injured at work and people with a motor vehicle crash claim resolve disputes with insurers and provides legal funding to support claimants through the claims process.
As part of the Department of Customer Service, the IRO is committed to integrity, independence and fairness. Our work makes a meaningful difference to people navigating complex and often challenging systems, and we are focused on continuous improvement, innovation and delivering better outcomes for the community.

- Apply user experience and service design principles to support customer-centred improvements and service delivery outcomes.
- Support change readiness activities through stakeholder engagement, communications and the development of supporting materials.
- Maintain design templates and visual assets to ensure consistency with organisational branding, accessibility standards and communication guidelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating customer feedback, research and insights into design solutions.
- Build strong relationships across teams.
What we're looking for
You will bring:
- Experience in graphic design, visual communication, user experience design, digital content creation or a related field.
- Strong skills in designing clear, engaging and accessible content for a range of audiences and channels.
- Experience translating complex information into visually compelling and easy-to-understand formats.
- An understanding of customer-centred design, user experience principles and accessibility requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain ideas and present design concepts effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement and customer-focused service delivery.
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in communications, graphic design, user experience design or a related field.
Why join us?
- Be part of an organisation with a strong public purpose and meaningful community impact.
- Create engaging communications that help people understand and access important services.
- Work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Flexible working arrangements and hybrid work options.
- Access learning, development and career opportunities across the NSW public sector.
