Desktop Support Specialist

DR is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves providing tier 2 support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining desktop systems in a technology-driven organization. You'll have the chance to work with a dedicated team, supporting various desktop applications and hardware.

Position Overview for the Technical Support Specialist:

• Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, including troubleshooting and training.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including operating system errors and application crashes.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems, software applications, and hardware peripherals.
• Document technical procedures and maintain inventory of desktop hardware and software.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and software licensing.

Requirements for the Technical Support Specialist:

• Knowledge of desktop operating systems and hardware, including laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
• Knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge of IT security principles and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• HS Diploma and 1-3 years of hands-on experience in technical support, with certifications like A+ or Microsoft certifications preferred.
