The Role: Developer COBOL
📍 Location: Lisbon
🏢🏠 Work Model: hybrid - 2/3 days a week in the office
💰🏦 Sector: Financial Services
🗣️ Languages: English (B1) & French (B2)
✅ Eligibility: Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there
🧑 Mandatory Requirements (Non‑Negotiable)
- Solid experience with COBOL on z/OS (Batch & CICS).
- Strong knowledge of JCL, DB2, VSAM, TSO/ISPF.
- Experience with Git (GitLab or Bitbucket) and CI/CD for COBOL (DBB).
- Integration experience using MQ and REST APIs.
Nice to have:
- Experience in legacy modernization (COBOL migration, refactoring).
- Exposure to zDevOps automation and collaboration with API / Cloud / Data teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain COBOL Batch and CICS applications.
- Support modernization and DevOps initiatives on mainframe systems.
- Ensure quality, performance and reliability.
