Development Assistant, Annual Giving (Variable, up to 29 hours per week, October 13, 2026 to April 30, 2027) Wolf Trap HeadQuarters - Vienna, VA 22182 Apply Overview Position Type Variable Category Development Apply Description WORK SCHEDULE : Varied Monday through Friday POSITION LOCATION : Hybrid - will require days onsite and allow telework PAY RATE : $13.40/hour BENEFITS : Flexible work schedule; 403(b) Retirement Plan; Complimentary tickets to select performances; Discounts at Concessions and the Gift Shop. POSITION SUMMARY : Supports the membership team in completing administrative tasks and providing excellent customer service to donors. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Enter confidential membership data into The Raiser’s Edge, the department’s donor tracking software. Provide excellent customer service over the phone and email to Wolf Trap Foundation members in response to questions about membership and benefits. Help coordinate mailings including donor acknowledgements and benefit materials. Assist with general administrative duties for membership as needed, including general phone support, proof reading, photocopying, faxing, filing, and assembling materials. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate’s degree or equivalent, transferrable work experience 1-2 years’ experience as a seasoned assistant, Board relations or non-profit organization experience preferred REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Excellent phone/interpersonal skills Highly organized; strong attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of The Raiser’s Edge preferred but not necessary Sensitivity and commitment to the mission of Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time Regularly operates a computer and other office equipment (i.e., calculator, copier, printer, etc.) Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, bend and reach with arms Lift/move up to 15 pounds infrequently We’re pleased to consider applicants who will be physically located in and who will have a local address in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia for the duration of their employment.
