Position Overview: The Development Associate provides operational and administrative support for JVC's annual giving program. Working closely with the Annual Giving Manager, this position coordinates annual fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, gift processing, database management, and development operations that strengthen donor engagement and help achieve annual fundraising goals. The Development Associate ensures the smooth execution of fundraising initiatives while maintaining accurate donor records and delivering excellent donor service. Objectives: Annual Giving Support Coordinate production and execution of annual fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, email appeals, Giving Tuesday, and year-end fundraising. Build, test, and schedule fundraising emails using JVC's email marketing platform. Coordinate campaign timelines, mailing lists, print vendors, and production schedules. Assist with campaign reporting and performance tracking. Support the creation and organization of campaign materials and donor communications. Donor Stewardship & Operations Coordinate donor acknowledgment and thank-you letter processes. Assist with stewardship mailings and recognition initiatives. Respond promptly to donor inquiries and requests. Support donor appreciation efforts and stewardship touchpoints throughout the year. Help maintain accurate donor recognition and giving records. Anticipated Results Successful execution of annual fundraising campaigns on schedule that reach the goal. Successful execution of fundraising events on schedule Accurate and timely gift processing and donor acknowledgments. Clean and reliable donor database supporting fundraising strategy. Improved donor stewardship and donor experience. Increased operational efficiency within the Development department. Greater capacity for frontline fundraising and donor relationship management. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree preferred One to three years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, advancement services, or administrative support. Experience with donor databases (Raiser's Edge NXT preferred). Experience coordinating projects with multiple deadlines. Experience supporting fundraising campaigns or general development operations Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Familiarity with Jesuit values (community, simplicity, social justice, spirituality) and ability to translate those values into compelling digital storytelling Familiarity with and willingness to promote Catholic social justice tradition and Ignatian Spirituality Strong professional, intercultural and organizational communication skills, verbal and written Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to work in a team and independently Demonstrated skill in data collection, analysis, and reporting Physical Requirements: To perform in this position successfully, an individual must be able to: Exert minimal physical effort with intermittent movement going from one place to another. Withstand prolonged periods of sitting in meetings or at a desk working with a computer. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Required to have close visual acuity to perform extensive work on the computer.
