Budgeted Salary Range: The Law School's budgeted salary range for this position is $29.75-$42.79 per annum. This position is considered hybrid, with a 3-day onsite minimum required. Under direct supervision, provide administrative and routine support to fundraising programs and activities for the Stanford Law School Office of External Relations. Work with front-line fundraising staff, donors, volunteers, and other law school and university staff to assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with all school and university constituencies. The major gifts team is part of the Office of External Relations at Stanford Law School. It is made up of regionally focused field staff who work throughout the United States to build and maintain relationships with Stanford Law School alumni, parents, friends, corporations and foundations to advance Stanford Law School’s mission. The development coordinator for the major gifts team will provide a full range of administrative services to support the field fundraising efforts of three major gift officers. He/she will also provide general assistance to help manage the centralized operational needs of the Office of External Relations. The development coordinator will report to the Director of Major Gifts and will collaborate closely with the major gifts team, his/her administrative peers and others to fulfill the duties associated with providing support to the team and assistance to the Director of Major Gifts. CORE DUTIES: • Provide project and administrative support to three major gift officers. This includes: producing meeting agendas and travel itineraries for field staff and the dean as needed; coordinating travel arrangements for field staff and the dean as needed; prepare reports and data entry. • Respond to inquiries, and determine and take appropriate action as required. • Draft and/or generate routine communications; coordinate production (formatting, copying, etc.) and dissemination of documents, such as presentations, grant proposals, conference and seminar materials, reports, brochures and displays. • Build a network of relevant contacts, and stay informed on current university initiatives and activities. • Review and track funds and report on use of gifts and conduct front line research as assigned. • Assist in the planning, implementation and staffing of donor cultivation and other special events as needed. • Retrieve information about prospects and donors, update records, and generate reports using the university’s external relations database. • Assist with budget tracking and process reimbursements for team as needed. • Review calendars for upcoming travel/projects/events to determine actions needed for successful and timely completion. • Create and revise donor biographies and proactively assure that all information is current and accurate. This might include creating summaries comprised of information obtained from Stanford’s database and also information obtained from on-line research to ensure a full understanding of all of the information needed to complete the individual’s biography. • Other duties may also be assigned. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and one year of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience. PREFERRED MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: • Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications, including Google Suite. • Advanced on-line research capabilities. • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Suite a plus. • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and customer needs. • Ability to perform detailed work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Strong organization skills. Core Duties : Plan and schedule calendar(s) for assigned gift officers or team members with limited consultation, resolve calendaring conflicts, and arrange travel in compliance with unit, university, and sponsor policies. Oversee and/or perform duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and execution of volunteer meetings and events, including arranging with vendors for services, overseeing the production and distribution of materials, administering logistics, and managing events within budget. Assist in the design, publication and production of fundraising materials. Build a network of relevant contacts and stay informed on current university initiatives and activities. Review and track funds and report on use of gifts, as assigned. Track budget(s), and process reimbursements for department. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of database systems, such as Microsoft Access. Ability to work efficiently, juggle tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and achieve goals. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a wide range of people.
