You want to play a part in making NSW a better place to work, live and travel.
Your innovative mindset is key to creating solutions to complex problems. Our systems drive our organisational success and underpin every journey our customers take. This is your opportunity to be part of an expert team who build and refine seamless technology experiences.
In this role, you'll:
Be working as part of the Regulatory Applications Team in a Technical Lead role, providing technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of applications and project initiatives.
You will lead the technical design and delivery of application projects, working closely with Solution Architects and Project Managers to assess new requirements and determine the most appropriate technology solution for each project. With a broad application landscape spanning Java, Microsoft technologies, Power Apps, Oracle APEX, and other platforms, the position plays a key role in ensuring technology decisions align with business and project objectives.
You will also provide hands-on technical leadership and be responsible for guiding project teams through the full delivery lifecycle. The position provides leadership during project execution, establishing technical direction, driving solution design, overseeing development activities, and ensuring delivery outcomes meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.

About you
You are an experienced Technology Lead with a proven track record of delivering complex technology projects and hands-on expertise in the technologies outlined in this role. You combine strong technical capabilities with leadership experience, guiding teams while actively contributing to solution design, delivery, and implementation.
A quick learner and collaborative leader, you have experience mentoring and coaching team members to rapidly adopt new technologies and ways of working. You build strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills, with the ability to present research, insights, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Highly organised and outcome-focused, you can manage competing priorities, maintain quality documentation, and consistently deliver results within deadlines. Experience working within government environments and managing vendor and governance requirements is highly regarded.
