Location: Melbourne, Australia (open to hybrid/remote applications)

Team: 20 engineers (hardware, software, AI) + 3 commercial strategists

Role: Device Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Device Engineer to join our engineering team. This role will own the development of mobile applications that interface directly with our embedded devices, as well as the supporting frontend layers that connect hardware, cloud services, and user experience.

Requirements:

• Experience building native Android applications using Kotlin for production environments.
• Experience with React (and React Native or hybrid architectures where appropriate) for device-facing and companion interfaces.
• Experience with Flutter
• Proven ability to design and implement device communication layers (BLE, Wi-Fi, APIs, messaging, or similar).
• Experience integrating mobile apps with cloud services, with hands-on use of Azure DevOps for CI/CD, pipelines, and release management.
• Strong understanding of embedded devices, reliability, and lifecycle management, especially for apps that interact with hardware.
• Experience debugging real-world device issues (connectivity, state sync, latency, edge cases).
