Dev/Ops Cloud Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join an international team in a fully remote capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining and improving cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, automation and system reliability.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, automating processes and working across development and infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Manage and optimise cloud environments across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration and deployment.
• Work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, availability, security and reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment and production issues.
• Implement appropriate logging, monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Work closely with software developers, engineering teams and other technical stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain DevOps best practices and automation.
• Assist with cloud security, access management and infrastructure compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, scalability and cost efficiency.
• Maintain clear technical documentation.
  

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience.
• Strong practical experience with at least one major cloud platform:
• AWS
• Microsoft Azure
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD.
• Strong experience with Docker.
• Experience with Kubernetes or another container orchestration platform.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Strong scripting/programming ability using Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Strong understanding of networking, security and cloud architecture.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
  

Advantageous

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer or similar certification.
• Azure or GCP certification.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Helm.
• Experience with Ansible.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or similar monitoring/logging platforms.
• Experience with cloud security and IAM.
• Experience supporting production environments.
• Experience working with international development teams.
• Experience in SaaS or software businesses.
