Devops & Cloud Engineer

Description

In this role, you will architect and develop cloud infrastructure supporting Machine Learning and Synthetic Data platforms. You will design scalable services and pipelines to process and manage large volumes of data, enabling advanced ML applications.

This role involves solving complex distributed systems challenges, including optimizing data storage and retrieval, ensuring low-latency and high-throughput processing, and maintaining strong security and reliability standards.

You will collaborate closely with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and software engineering teams to integrate new algorithms and data sources into the platform. The role includes full-stack ownership of cloud services, from defining system architecture and APIs to implementing backend services and deploying infrastructure as code.

The technology stack includes AWS services, Kubernetes, Terraform, Golang, and modern database technologies. The environment emphasizes clean, maintainable designs and data-driven decision making to continuously improve performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.

You will have the opportunity to evaluate new technologies, prototype solutions, and influence technical direction while helping build infrastructure that supports large-scale AI/ML workloads.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience designing and building applications using container and serverless technologies
• Good exposure to Agile software development and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration, and automated deployment
• Experience with CI tools (e.g., Jenkins)
• Strong practical application development experience on Linux systems
• Experience with film and game development pipelines (plus)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Sunnyvale, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
