Job Title: DevOps Engineer / Architect (Atlassian to OpenSource Migration)

Job Type: Contract B2B

Job Location: Full Remote ( with 1 initial week onsite in Luxembourg)

Pay Rate: Engineer - €540/day plus €290/day on-call days.

Pay Rate: Architect - €660/day

About the Role

Migrate a legacy Atlassian suite (Jira, JSM, Confluence) to a modern OpenSource stack (Zammad, OpenProject, XWiki) on Red Hat OpenShift.

Engineer: Build and run the platform. Deploy, tune, automate, monitor, on-call.

Architect: Design the strategy. HA architecture, zero-downtime migration, governance, mentoring.

Required Skills

Both roles:

- Java development, previous or current

- Jira administration and development

- Groovy scripting, including ScriptRunner

- Unix and Red Hat Linux

Engineer also:

- Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI, ArgoCD

- OpenShift, Kubernetes, Helm

- PostgreSQL, ETL scripting (Python, Bash, Go)

- API gateways (Kong, Gravitee, Tyk), n8n

- Dynatrace

- Ruby on Rails, Java/Tomcat, Redis, Elasticsearch/Solr troubleshooting

Architect also:

- Deep Zammad, OpenProject, XWiki stack knowledge

- Expert OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker

- Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, GitOps

- IdP integration (OIDC, SAML, SCIM)

- PostgreSQL clusters (pg_bouncer, replication), Elasticsearch/Solr

- Dynatrace (AIOps, SLOs, dashboards)

Bonus:

- Zammad, OpenProject, XWiki experience or willingness to learn

Mandatory

- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related

- 5+ years Cloud/DevOps

- Engineer: API integrations, microservices in OpenShift

- Architect: proven OpenShift migration portfolio

- RHCA, RHCE, or CKA desirable

- EU citizenship

- Fluent English

Additional

- Engineer: shifts (07:00 to 20:00 CET) and 7-day on-call rotation

- 1 week onsite in Luxembourg, rest remote, up to 6 years
