Company: Delvee
Location: Remote (Preference for Eastern Europe or LATAM)
Employment Type: Full-time
About DelveeAt Delvee, we build privacy-first, high-performance platforms that support seamless streaming media, real-time live chat, and secure e-commerce. Our systems are designed to handle massive scale, high concurrency, and strict data privacy requirements. While our core technology currently powers high traffic consumer platforms, we are actively expanding our architecture to support heavily regulated industries.
We are an AI-forward engineering team. We believe in maximizing leverage by using AI tools to write the bulk of our scripts, configurations, and infrastructure as code (IaC). However, we know that AI requires brilliant human orchestrators. We are looking for a DevOps/SRE who can design the cloud blueprints, direct the AI, and act as the ultimate gatekeeper for uptime, security, and reliability.
The RoleAs a DevOps/SRE at Delvee, your day-to-day will focus less on manual server configuration and more on high-level infrastructure architecture, pipeline automation, and rigorous code review. You will be the human brain behind our automated output, ensuring everything we deploy is scalable, secure, and rock-solid with an incredibly contained blast radius.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect & Scale: Design and manage scalable, privacy-centric cloud infrastructure capable of handling high-demand streaming, real-time WebSocket messaging, and secure payment processing.
- AI Orchestration: Utilize advanced AI coding tools to generate complex Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm charts, CI/CD pipelines, bash scripts), shifting your focus from manual typing to system design and execution.
- Reliability & Security Gatekeeping: Act as the final line of defense. Rigorously review, test, and validate AI-generated infrastructure configurations to ensure they meet our strict standards for zero-downtime deployments and data privacy.
- Stack Management: Support the hosting, scaling, and observability of our modern stack (Next.js, React, Node, Encore, TypeScript, PostgreSQL) while maintaining and helping systematically migrate away from our legacy systems (Vue 3 and PHP).
- Observability & Incident Response: Build proactive monitoring and alerting systems to catch bottlenecks before they impact users.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and elevate the engineering team on DevOps best practices, CI/CD hygiene, and secure deployments in an AI-assisted environment.
What We’re Looking For- Experience: 5+ years of deep DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering experience. You must have a robust history of hand-writing complex infrastructure so you know exactly what to look for when the AI generates it.
- Infrastructure Mastery: Exceptional understanding of distributed systems, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar), and CI/CD automation.
- Tech Stack Familiarity: Strong experience tuning and hosting Node.js environments, scaling PostgreSQL databases, and managing legacy PHP web servers. Experience with Encore is a huge bonus.
- AI Fluency: Proven experience integrating AI into your daily workflow to dramatically multiply your output.
- Security Mindset: A strong commitment to privacy-first architecture. Experience building secure VPCs, managing IAM roles, and protecting user data (bonus points for familiarity with compliance standards like HIPAA or GDPR).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions remotely.
Why Join Us?- Compensation: $62,000 - $76,000 USD annually.
- PTO and Sick time:
- Up to 11 Paid public holidays (Depending on location)
- 24 paid vacation days per year (at a rate of 2 days/month accrual)
- 6 paid sick days per year (or more if required in your location)
- Work at the cutting edge of AI-assisted infrastructure and deployment.
- Tackle incredibly complex scaling, media streaming, and privacy challenges.
- Fully remote flexibility.
How to ApplyWe heavily utilize and value AI tools in our day-to-day work, but we need to hire the human to drive them. To ensure you are a human reading this—and not an automated mass-application bot—please begin your cover letter, resume or introductory message with the exact phrase: "I am the human orchestrator." Following this, please include one sentence telling us about your favorite non-screen-related hobby. Applications missing this exact phrase will be automatically filtered out.
