Looking for a Graphic Programmer to join a Ukrainian hyper-casual studio whose games have been downloaded 300M+ times 🌍
Product — hyper-casual mobile and PC games where every visual detail matters — satisfying effects, smooth animations, and shaders that make players think "wait, how did they do that?"
What you'll be working on:
• Developing and implementing unique graphics technologies and writing shaders
• Optimizing unconventional graphics algorithms for mobile devices
• Creating beautiful, satisfying visual effects that don't just look good — they feel good
• Building new rendering and animation technologies — real-time rendering territory nobody has explored yet
• Working on hyper-casual mobile titles with potential expansion to PC projects
What we're looking for:
• Experience with shaders, rendering, and animations — portfolio must include a video demo of your shaders/VFX (GitHub code alone, without visuals, won't be reviewed)
• Strong math skills: trigonometry, vector math, matrices — the foundation of great visuals
• Ability to describe animations as functions, understanding of tweens/easings and when to use them
• Creative and artistic eye — sense of style, color, and composition
• Desire to experiment and try what others consider impossible
• Ability to optimize what "shouldn't work" on mobile — but you'll make it work
Interest in new technologies and staying on top of what's happening in the field
Stack: Unity/HLSL — but experience with Unreal or GLSL works too. What matters is your understanding of the graphics pipeline and mobile GPU specifics
