DevOps Engineer

Role Description The DevOps Engineer will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure for CIMB Bank Philippines’ digital banking platforms. This full-time hybrid role is based in Taguig, with a mix of on-site work and work-from-home arrangements. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, implementing infrastructure as code, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting production issues in collaboration with software development and operations teams. The role also involves improving deployment processes, automating repetitive tasks, ensuring system reliability and security, and contributing to best practices and documentation across the engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and System Administration to design, deploy, and manage cloud or on-premise environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Continuous Integration and Software Development to create and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Candidates should possess skills in Linux system administration to manage, monitor, and secure Linux-based servers and services.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), configuration management, and containerization/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), monitoring and logging tools, and security best practices in banking or fintech environments is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and clear communication in English are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
