We’re looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to help run and improve our AWS infrastructure, delivery pipelines, and production reliability. You’ll join a small DevOps team and take responsibility for agreed pieces of work: investigate the problem, propose an approach, implement the change, and verify the result. You’ll have support through onboarding, technical discussions, and code review. We welcome strong mid-level and senior engineers. You don’t need to know every tool we use, but you should be comfortable doing the engineering work yourself and learning what’s missing. What you’ll do Operate and improve our AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes workloads using Terraform and GitOps. Maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate recurring operational work. Investigate production issues, improve monitoring and alerts, and address the causes of recurring failures. Improve infrastructure security, access management, backups, and recovery. Plan and deliver infrastructure changes with clear scope, validation, and rollback where applicable. Keep useful documentation and handoffs so another engineer can support or continue your work. Participate in a shared on-call rotation after onboarding. What we’re looking for Hands-on experience operating production infrastructure on AWS. Practical Terraform experience: understanding plans, state, existing resources, and the consequences of changes. Experience running and troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads. Working knowledge of Linux, networking, IAM, and application troubleshooting. Ability to write and maintain scripts or small tools that make operational work easier. Safe judgement when changing production: check assumptions, understand the impact, verify results, and ask for help when needed. Clear communication about progress, blockers, risks, and unfinished work. We value examples of changes you personally delivered and problems you investigated. Broad tool coverage matters less than sound fundamentals and the ability to finish useful work. Useful additional experience Flux, Helm, and GitHub Actions. Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Sentry. Database operations and recovery. Python or Go. Security and compliance automation. These are areas you may work with, not a checklist you must already cover. Your first three months Deliver agreed infrastructure tasks from investigation to rollout and verification. As you learn our setup, take on agreed tasks with less guidance, raise blockers early, and keep the team updated. We’ll support you through onboarding, technical discussions, and code review. Agreed priorities and room to choose the implementation approach. Shared responsibility for production, including a compensated on-call rotation. AI-assisted development using agreed team tools. You remain responsible for understanding and checking the output. English for documentation and cross-team communication; Russian is used within the DevOps team.
