Right now, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join one of our clients in the public sector, based in Cascais.
Your responsibilities include:
- Design, implement and maintain automation processes to improve infrastructure and application operations;
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software delivery and deployment processes;
- Manage and administer Linux and Windows environments, ensuring stability, performance and security;
- Automate operational tasks using Ansible, Shell scripting and other automation tools;
- Monitor applications and infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving incidents;
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure and support teams to ensure system reliability and availability;
- Support application deployments, patching activities and infrastructure upgrades;
- Manage and troubleshoot databases and application environments;
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and DevOps best practices;
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
You must have:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field;
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer;
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration;
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell or Python);
- Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment processes;
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes;
- Experience working with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL;
- Understanding of monitoring and observability tools;
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and configuration management practices;
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
- Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Azure, GCP or hybrid cloud environments;
- Knowledge of Jenkins, Git, HashiCorp Vault or Dynatrace;
- Experience with ITIL methodologies;
- Experience in public sector environments;
- Relevant technical certifications in Cloud, DevOps or Automation.
