DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes, GitOps and Monitoring

You will work on projects for our clients in the financial sector: we are building a monitoring and operations platform that detects problems before clients notice them. You will work alongside a senior DevOps engineer and the client's team.

What our clients value most is simple: we say what we will do, and then we do it. We build the platform the modern way - everything declared in Git, deployed via GitOps, with AI tools as part of our daily work, from writing configuration to investigating alerts.

How you work

This matters more to us than the list of tools below:

• You are on the client's side. When a client asks for something new, your first answer is "let me try it and I'll come back with how I would do it" - not a list of reasons why not. At the beginning, you will go through your proposal with our senior engineer first.
• You get straight to the point and deliver. Trust comes from what you deliver, not from what you promise.
• You care about the result, not the effort. What counts is what the client got.
• You look for a better way to do things. You automate what repeats, try new tools and use AI as a normal part of your work - and you check what it produces.
• You finish what you start. A change is done when it works, you have verified it and it is written down.
• You think before you act. In a bank, a production change is a decision, not a click: you ask what it affects and how to roll it back before you touch it.
• You invest in your own growth. You learn new things because they interest you, not only when someone sends you to a course.

What you will be responsible for

• Deploying and operating Kubernetes environments based on an agreed design
• Managing configuration in Git and deploying via GitOps (ArgoCD)
• Monitoring and alerting in Prometheus and Grafana - dashboards, alert rules, tuning
• Automating what repeats - with Ansible, scripts and AI tools
• Verifying that every change does what it should
• Documenting what runs and why

What we expect

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Linux and Kubernetes
• Git in your daily work; GitOps at least on your own project
• Bash or Python
• Fluent Slovak or Czech and good English
• Something you built or learned on your own - a homelab, a side project, an automation, a certification

Nice to have

• Helm and CI/CD
• Prometheus and Grafana
• Ansible or Terraform
• Zabbix, Loki, NetBox
• Experience in a regulated environment (finance, telco, insurance)
• CKA / CKAD

You don't need to know everything on these lists - tools change every year. What you are missing, you will learn here, with us and with AI.

• Salary: EUR 2,300 - 3,500 gross per month. The exact amount depends on your level of experience, expertise and scope of responsibility under our internal pay structure - the criteria are the same for everyone and we can explain them in the first interview.
