The client is an international RegTech company developing digital identity verification, KYC, KYB, AML, age verification and fraud prevention solutions. Its technology enables regulated businesses to onboard customers, automate compliance processes and manage financial crime risks across international markets. The company continues to expand its product capabilities while maintaining a strong engineering and security focus. This is an opportunity to work on business-critical technology where reliability, performance and data protection matter every day.
💼 About the Role
The client is looking for a strong mid-level DevOps Engineer to replace a departing colleague and maintain experienced ownership within the DevOps function. You will support around 20 engineers working across five to six product teams and collaborate closely with developers on infrastructure, deployments and production issues. The client is looking for the self-sufficient engineer who can contribute with limited supervision after onboarding. There is currently no formal on-call rotation, although one may be introduced as the platform and operational model develop.
🔍 Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the platform and its supporting cloud infrastructure;
Build reusable and maintainable infrastructure-as-code modules with Terraform;
Manage infrastructure and software delivery through Argo CD and GitOps practices;
Operate and improve containerized workloads running on Kubernetes;
Develop internal tools, integrations, Terraform providers and supporting services;
Investigate production issues across infrastructure, applications and databases;
Read and debug application code when resolving platform-related incidents;
Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, platform performance and operational visibility;
Automate recurring processes for the DevOps and software development teams;
Strengthen cloud security, reliability and deployment consistency.
🎓 Requirements
3+ years of continuous experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering or a comparable role;
Strong hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, including production troubleshooting;
Commercial experience with Azure, AWS or GCP, with Azure being the preferred environment;
Practical knowledge of Docker, Terraform and Linux;
Experience with GitOps practices and modern infrastructure delivery workflows;
Programming or scripting experience and the ability to understand unfamiliar codebases;
Ability to troubleshoot application-level, infrastructure and database-related issues;
Experience with monitoring, metrics, alerting, logging and cloud security;
Professional English and the ability to collaborate with several engineering teams.
Nice to Have
Experience with Argo CD in production environments;
Programming experience with C#, Python or Go;
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, database structure design and performance troubleshooting;
Experience with PostgreSQL, NoSQL or vector databases such as Milvus;
Familiarity with Data Lake environments or streaming technologies such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
🤝 Key Competencies
Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions;
Ownership of issues from initial investigation through permanent resolution;
Structured thinking across infrastructure, application and data layers;
Clear communication with DevOps colleagues, developers and engineering stakeholders;
Curiosity and confidence when working with unfamiliar systems or code.
✨ The Employer Offers
Private health insurance;
One additional non-accumulating day away from routine work each month, with availability for urgent issues;
Financial support for significant personal life events;
Company-wide and team events;
An Apple MacBook as standard working equipment;
Direct influence over the reliability and development of a security-critical platform;
Exposure to international products, customers and regulated technology markets.
If you are comfortable taking ownership of production systems and enjoy solving problems that cross infrastructure, software and data, send us your CV. We would like to hear about the platforms you have improved and the engineering decisions behind your work.
