## About the Role

MediData is looking for an engaged **Platform Engineer** to help develop, automate, and operate its private cloud platform. Working as part of a specialized team, you will contribute to the reliable operation and continuous evolution of a modern platform supporting the digital connectivity of the Swiss healthcare system.

You will work closely with Product Teams and the Architecture Guild on DevOps processes, platform decisions, security, compliance, monitoring, and automation. The role offers the opportunity to work with technologies including **OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, S3 Storage, ActiveMQ, OracleDB, and PostgreSQL**.

## Key Responsibilities

- Develop, automate, and operate MediData's private cloud platform.

- Work with technologies including OpenShift, ArgoCD, CI/CD, S3 Storage, ActiveMQ, OracleDB, and PostgreSQL.

- Develop self-service solutions that enable Product Teams to manage deployments and environments largely independently.

- Support Product Teams with questions related to security, compliance, and monitoring.

- Contribute to compliance with standards such as ISO 27001.

- Coordinate DevOps processes and strategic platform decisions with Product Teams and the Architecture Guild.

- Evaluate new technologies and continuously develop the platform with a focus on automation, stability, and security.

## Required Qualifications

- Higher-level education or equivalent qualification in **Information Technology / Computer Science**, such as at FH, ETH, or university level, or a comparable qualification.

- Experience operating cloud infrastructures.

- Experience in a **DevOps environment** and IT operations.

- Solid knowledge of **OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm**.

- Solid knowledge of CI/CD tools such as **GitLab, Jenkins, or ArgoCD**.

- Familiarity with **GitOps, Infrastructure as Code**, such as Ansible, and Secrets Management.

- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as **Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack**.

- Strong German communication skills.

- Good technical English, both written and spoken.

- Ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility.

- Strong security awareness.

## Preferred Qualifications

- Relevant **DevOps, Platform Engineering, cloud, or IT operations certifications** are advantageous.
