DevOps Infrastructure as Code Engineer - Toluca, Mexico (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Infrastructure as Code Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud-native environments, automation, containerization, and DevSecOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code principles and reusable components.
• Develop reusable pipeline templates, infrastructure modules, deployment scripts, and environment configurations.
• Standardize build, testing, security scanning, release, and deployment processes.
• Manage configurations across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Implement automated quality gates, security checks, approval controls, and deployment validations.
• Support containerized workloads and cloud-native runtime environments.
• Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, infrastructure defects, network problems, and environment inconsistencies.
• Embed security controls into CI/CD and IaC workflows.
• Support access controls, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, patching, and compliance requirements.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational-readiness practices.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, configuration standards, and recovery procedures.
• Promote automation, self-service capabilities, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills

• 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience developing reusable and maintainable infrastructure modules and pipeline components.
• Strong understanding of Git workflows, automated testing, releases, deployment strategies, and rollback mechanisms.
• Knowledge of containerization, cloud-native architecture, environment management, and configuration management.
• Understanding of DevSecOps, security scanning, least privilege, secrets management, and policy compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience with Terraform.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, or managed container platforms.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Experience with observability tools, automated compliance checks, and Policy as Code.
• Relevant AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications.

Location Requirement

Toluca, Mexico is mandatory. Candidates must be comfortable working in a hybrid model and working from the HSBC office 3 days per week. Remote-only candidates should not be considered.
