Job Title: Digital Architect

Location: Edmonton, AB, Canada (Remote)

Duration: 12 months (Possible extension)

Client: Public Sector

Pay Rate: $100 - $110/hr [CAD]

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study equivalencies will be considered.

Skills Required:

• Demonstrated 5 years of experience leading cross-functional agile product teams, providing architectural direction, and mentoring developers and technical leads.
• Experience 8 years as a data architect, software architect, or senior data engineer, where the proposed resource’s focus has been collaborative work on and/or with cross-functional teams to create new software applications.
• Experience 5 years in leading solution architecture and introducing the overall technical vision for a large-scale Enterprise project with integrations between systems.
• Experience 4 years leading domain modelling and database schema design for transactional and reporting systems.
• Strong communication skills 5 years with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.
• Experience 3 years aligning data architecture with organizational data strategies, digital service delivery goals, and emerging AI-enabled business capabilities.
• Experience 3 years applying data governance principles to ensure data consistency, quality, compliance, metadata management, and responsible use of data for analytics and AI solutions.
• Experience 4 years applying secure development practices and managing identity and access using role-based or attribute-based access control and Zero Trust Architecture principle.
• Experience 5 years architecting solutions that leverage relational and non-relational databases, analytics platforms, and AI technologies, including data modeling, performance optimization, and the delivery of actionable insights.
• Experience 2 years collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed data interoperability and standardization practices into product development workflows.
• Experience 5 years incrementally transforming legacy systems into modern digital and data-driven services across multiple releases, leveraging cloud-native and AI-enabled technologies where appropriate.
