Job Description
Just imagine a digital audit roadmap that strengthens audit capability, improves assurance across technology risks and drives accountable remediation across the business. Then make it real.
As our Digital Audit and Assurance Director, you'll shape and deliver the internal audit strategy and annual audit plan, with a focus on IT audits and the digital technology environment. You'll provide independent assurance and practical advice on governance, risk management and internal controls, while helping the LEGO® Group build stronger digital audit capability. You'll lead complex audits, develop team capability and communicate clear, meaningful recommendations to senior leadership and the Audit Committee.
Required Qualifications
- Led large, complex audit or assurance projects independently across complex, globally dispersed stakeholder environments
- Applied audit, risk and technology frameworks including IIA, COBIT, ISO, NIST, CIS18, COSO or ITIL to assess risk and controls
- Used Power BI, Tableau or Alteryx to deliver data-enabled audit and analytics activities
- Presented audit findings, risk assessments and remediation recommendations to senior management or Audit Committee-level stakeholders
- Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical problem-solving and sound judgement in audit or assurance environments
- Built audit team capability through coaching, mentoring or development of data-enabled audit techniques
Preferred Qualifications
- Used Power Query, Power Automate, Power Apps or data modelling techniques to improve business processes
- Applied SAP or SAP S/4HANA knowledge within audit, assurance or technology risk activities
- Working proficiency in an additional language such as Danish, Spanish or another European language
What you'll build
- A credible digital audit roadmap for the function
- Stronger delivery of IT-focused audits and assurance projects
- Greater adoption of data-enabled audit techniques across the team
- Higher-quality reporting that influences senior decision-making
- Clear accountability and follow-through for risk remediation activities
- Audit approaches that keep pace with evolving technology, regulation and industry practice
If you've worked in a role where you independently managed large and complex audit or assurance projects, communicated credibly with senior management and developed recommendations that drove remediation, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to connect digital risks with business outcomes while helping others grow their capability.
Life on the team
You'll join Corporate Risk and Internal Audit within the CFO area. The team provides independent assurance to the Audit Committee and supports the business through insight, advice and practical improvements. We work with a hybrid rhythm and collaborate closely through virtual and in-person interactions. You'll have the freedom to plan your work independently while contributing to a team that values thoughtful communication, sound judgement and collaborative problem-solving.
What success looks like
You'll become known for translating technical risks into clear business implications, influencing timely action and strengthening digital audit capability across the function. Over the next 12–18 months, you'll help shape the future direction of digitally enabled audits while working closely with senior management, the Audit Committee, CRIA leadership and colleagues across the organisation. Success comes from delivering meaningful assurance, building trust and leaving the team stronger than you found it.
