Overview
The Digital Content Strategist plays a key role in content marketing initiatives, with a focus on optimizing website content to drive engagement and conversion. This role is responsible to develop, implement, and refine data-driven digital content strategies that attract qualified traffic, convert leads, and support through every stage of the marketing funnel. The Digital Content Strategist excels at crafting persuasive, SEO-optimized copy, leveraging Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) best practices, and utilizing performance analytics to continuously improve content effectiveness. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and analytics, is essential for alignment with broader marketing and business goals.
Pay Range: $70,000 - $76,000

Responsibilities
- Craft strategies and write effective copy that motivates all segments of the organization's audience to see trade school as a top-tier choice
- Maintain a clear and consistent brand voice with a focus on results, continually optimizing work to boost engagement and campaign performance
- Create high-quality, compelling, and informative content for various digital platforms, including but not limited to website, social media, email, and digital advertising
- Perform research to gain in-depth knowledge of customer personas
- Audit and optimize content for search engines (SEO) and improve conversion rates through effective (CRO) techniques
- Conduct kickoff and context meetings with internal teams across all functional areas to identify the messaging strategy/goals, target market persona and gain clarity on deliverables for creative briefs, timelines to final deliverables
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development and sales to deliver alignment of messaging and goals
- Manage all steps from initial messaging strategy, interpret creative briefs, to concept, writing/editing, proof reading through to final execution and monitor performance metrics
- Present copy concepts and final deliverables to internal teams and stakeholders
- Use analytic tools to assess trends and make data-driven decisions
- Validate that all content adheres to brand guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Maintain a proactive and self-motivated approach to stay ahead in the ever-changing digital landscape and education industry

Qualifications
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, related interest, or four (4) years equivalent experience (required)
- Three (3) years' experience in a digital marketing role (required)
Skills
- Skilled in writing clear, creative and compelling copy that drives performance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively both within and outside the organization
- Skilled in how user experience affects content strategy development
- Strong understanding of identifying behavior through analytic and using data to shape strategic decisions
- Skilled in fundamentals of SEO

Work Environment
- Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.
