SEO, Google Ads and Web
Ecomexperts | Full-time | Remote | Flexible hours | Perth, Western Australia-based agency
Ecomexperts is a digital performance marketing agency based in Perth, Western Australia. We provide SEO, Google Ads and web design services to Australian and international clients.
We are certified SEO geeks with a sense of humour and big ambitions for our clients.
Most of our clients are business owners investing their own money. They want clear answers about what we are doing, why we are doing it and whether it is working.
We are looking for someone who wants to become a confident Digital Marketing Account Manager in a fast-paced agency environment.
You may already have account management experience, but this is not essential. We also welcome candidates with one to two years of general digital marketing, SEO, paid advertising, web or agency experience.
You will initially support our team with client communication, task coordination, reporting and campaign administration. As your knowledge and confidence grow, you will gradually take responsibility for a small portfolio of clients.
We do not expect you to independently manage accounts or lead meetings from day one. You will receive training, join client meetings and work closely with experienced Account Managers, senior SEO specialists and our SEO Director.
SEO is the largest part of our work, but Google Ads and web design are also important parts of the role.
During your first 6 to 12 months, you will learn to:
• Understand each client’s business and goals
• Turn client requests into clear tasks for our delivery team
• Explain SEO, Google Ads and website work in plain language
• Prepare and present monthly reports
• Contribute confidently during client meetings
• Manage client expectations and campaign priorities
• Lead meetings when you are ready
• Take ownership of a small client portfolio
• Respond promptly to client messages through Slack and Zulip
• Turn client requests and meeting notes into properly briefed tasks
• Monitor active work and follow up on overdue or blocked tasks
• Keep clients informed when work is completed
• Prepare meeting agendas, reports and campaign updates
• Join meetings, take accurate notes and send recaps within 24 hours
• Assign and track every action promised during a meeting
• Review completed work against the client’s original request
• Decide when to act independently and when to escalate something
If you make a commitment to a client, you are responsible for following it through. You will have support, but you should not assume someone else is tracking it.
• Day-to-day client communication across SEO, Google Ads and web design
• Coordination between clients, SEO specialists, developers, designers and content managers
• Keyword research, competitor analysis, content recommendations and local SEO
• Basic technical and on-page SEO checks
• Google Ads reporting, including spend, conversions and cost per acquisition
• Web design and development coordination
• Protection of rankings, analytics and conversion tracking during website changes
• Monthly reports focused on leads, revenue, conversions and business outcomes
• AI search visibility, including AI Overviews and ChatGPT
• Account health, overdue work, client concerns and growth opportunities
You will initially support these responsibilities under guidance. Your level of ownership will increase with your knowledge, performance and confidence.
• One to two years of experience in digital marketing, SEO, paid advertising, account coordination, agency work or a related field
• Some experience communicating with clients or external stakeholders
• A foundational understanding of technical, on-page, off-page or local SEO
• Basic familiarity with Google Ads and an interest in improving your paid advertising skills
• Experience using Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console
• Familiarity with Semrush, Ahrefs or similar SEO tools
• Experience using WordPress
• Enough web knowledge to communicate with designers and developers
• Basic familiarity with Figma, or a willingness to learn
• Regular experience using ChatGPT or similar AI tools
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple clients, tasks and deadlines
• The confidence to ask questions when you are uncertain
• The ability to explain marketing topics without unnecessary jargon
• The motivation to work in a fast-paced agency and develop into an Account Manager
You do not need to be an expert in every marketing channel. We are looking for strong foundations, clear communication and the ambition to grow.
• You need every part of your working day planned for you
• You do not want to communicate directly with clients
• You avoid following up when work is late
• You struggle to manage several tasks or conversations at once
• You go quiet when something goes wrong
• You wait for someone else to notice that a task has been missed
• You are not interested in progressing towards independent client ownership
We do not expect perfection. We do expect honesty, follow-through and a willingness to learn.
