Digital Marketing & Email Marketing Intern – Remote (PayOak)

PayOak is hiring a Digital Marketing & Email Marketing Intern to support its marketing efforts by creating, distributing, and optimizing campaigns across email, social media, and digital channels. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing within a fintech startup.

About The Role

You will work closely with the Growth team, learning how marketing campaigns drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention, while contributing to initiatives that expand brand awareness and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Email Marketing

• Assist in creating, scheduling, and managing email campaigns.
• Draft newsletters, product updates, onboarding emails, and customer communications.
• Maintain and organize subscriber lists.
• Monitor performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, engagement).
  
  

Digital Marketing & Campaign Execution

• Support planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns.
• Promote PayOak’s products across social media and digital platforms.
• Assist with customer engagement initiatives.
• Track, report, and analyze campaign performance.
  
  

Content & Communications

• Help create marketing content for email, social media, and awareness campaigns.
• Draft customer-focused messaging and promotional materials.
• Support educational content creation about PayOak’s services.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging across channels.
  
  

Research & Reporting

• Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and opportunities.
• Track campaign performance and engagement metrics.
• Assist in preparing marketing reports and insights.
• Share recommendations with the team.
  
  

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be 30 years old or younger.
• Graduated from a tertiary institution in 2022 or later.
• Completed the NYSC programme.
• Available for the full 12-month internship.
