At CanadaHelps we believe in the power of generosity - not just for those who receive it, but for everyone it touches. Every act of generosity sparks connection, inspires change, and brings people together. This is an opportunity to join something bigger: a movement that fuels progress, strengthens communities, and reminds us of what’s possible when we come together.

We are a dedicated team of entrepreneurial-minded peers who believe in a world where everyone can thrive. We offer a flexible, inclusive environment built on growth, ambition, and shared success.

CanadaHelps provides the most comprehensive and flexible range of giving solutions for donating to any charity in Canada, and we partner with charities of all sizes to ensure they have the tools they need to achieve their goals.

About the role:

We are looking for a full-time Digital Marketing Specialist. As a Digital Marketing Specialist at CanadaHelps, you will play a key role in planning, executing, and optimizing a variety of marketing campaigns and tactics to help us acquire new charity clients and drive adoption and use of our suite of fundraising solutions.

This is a 12 month contract role (Maternity leave). This position is remote but may require to be in-office in Toronto for team collaborations.

The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000. Where an offer falls within this range is determined through the interview process. Candidates are benchmarked by the hiring team based on role scope, relevant experience, skill alignment, and expected impact, using consistent and objective criteria.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns that support charity acquisition, activation, product adoption, retention, and engagement.
  • Work with marketing agency across paid acquisition channels like LinkedIn, Google Ads, and Meta.
  • Manage email campaigns from brief to launch, including audience segmentation, calendar coordination, copywriting, building, testing, deployment, and performance reporting.
  • Lead campaign execution for key seasonal moments, including Giving Season, and support year-round programs that help charities strengthen their fundraising and operations.
  • Create and maintain conversion-focused landing pages, website content, resource hubs, and promotional placements in collaboration with design, product, and web partners.
  • Develop practical, high-value content for charity audiences, such as campaign toolkits, guides, success stories, and webinar promotions.
  • Coordinate webinars and other educational programs, including promotion, registration journeys, speaker support, follow-up communications, and results reporting.
  • Identify and run tests across email, landing pages, and campaign journeys to improve engagement, conversion, and time-to-value.
  • Track campaign performance, maintain dashboards and reports, surface insights, and recommend optimizations based on results.
  • Manage multiple projects, stakeholders, approvals, and deadlines while maintaining strong quality and brand consistency.
  • Document plans, processes, and results to support a smooth handoff at the end of the contract.

What you bring:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in digital, lifecycle, growth, or integrated marketing, ideally in a B2B, SaaS, nonprofit, or mission-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing email campaigns, including segmentation, automation, testing, quality assurance, and reporting.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to make complex ideas clear, useful, and engaging for different audiences.
  • Strong campaign and project management skills; you can move several initiatives forward at once without losing sight of details or deadlines.
  • A proactive, accountable working style and the confidence to take ownership while knowing when to seek input or escalate risk.
  • Hands-on experience with an email marketing or marketing automation platform; ActiveCampaign experience is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of web analytics and campaign measurement tools, such as Google Analytics 4 and Looker Studio.
  • French-language proficiency is an asset but is not required.
