The platforms and mix of work shift depending on which business you're supporting. What doesn't shift: you own the campaign after launch, not just before it. What the day-to-day looks like Plan, launch, and adjust paid campaigns on Meta, Google, and LinkedIn , shifting budgets and targeting as results roll in, not waiting for a weekly check-in to react Work with writers and designers to get ad copy and creative ready, then check it against what's actually converting once it's live Build and send email/SMS campaigns in Klaviyo or Mailchimp, testing subject lines and timing to see what actually moves opens and clicks Use ChatGPT or similar tools to speed up ad variations. It's a shortcut, not a replacement for your judgment on what's worth running Pull performance numbers on a regular schedule and turn them into a short, clear list of what to change next, not a 30-slide report nobody reads Stay in sync with design, content, and any PMs on the account so nothing launches late and nobody gets blindsided What we're actually looking for 2–5 years running digital marketing campaigns end to end, where you owned the results, good or bad Real, hands-on time in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager Comfortable enough in Photoshop and Premiere to handle basic creative edits and asset prep yourself Actual experience running email or SMS campaigns in Klaviyo or Mailchimp, not just watching someone else do it Written English that's genuinely fluent. You'll be writing copy real customers see, so "pretty good" isn't quite enough Nice to have, not required: SEO or Google Analytics/SEMrush, basic HTML/CSS for email templates, or some video editing chops A few things that matter more than they sound like they should Internet that won't cut out mid-launch or during a client call You show up when you say you will. Every time, not most of the time If something's underperforming or looks off, you say so early instead of hoping it fixes itself You follow through on what you said you'd do, without anyone needing to remind you How the process actually works Six steps, whether or not there's a client waiting on the other end: We read your CV — actually read it, not scan for keywords. Two minutes of you talking tells us more than a page of text — we're looking at how you come across on camera, your English, and your setup. A recruiter call, about 30 minutes. A reference check with someone who actually managed or worked closely with you. If a client's ready: one interview with them. They make the final call, but you won't repeat steps you've already done here. Sometimes you'll finish this process and there won't be a client lined up yet.
