Digital Product Designer - UI & Design Systems

This is a new opportunity for a UI-first Digital Product Designer to support our team in shaping the visual layer across our brands, products and channels.

You will turn user and product insights into strong visual solutions for apps, websites and digital tools, while helping us grow a shared library of reusable components and patterns. You will work internationally across Össur and Embla Medical, contributing to digital experiences that deliver real value to the people who rely on them.

What is waiting for you?

You will take ideas and insights through polished, implementation-ready interfaces, with UI quality at the heart of your work. In this role, you will:

• Design high-quality interfaces for apps, websites and other digital tools, from early concepts to final UI.
• Translate user, product and business insights into clear, intuitive and visually refined solutions.
• Apply strong craft across typography, layout, visual hierarchy, interaction and responsive design.
• Contribute to and evolve our multi-brand Design System and reusable library of components and patterns.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, UX and other teams throughout the design process.
• Work closely with developers to protect design quality through implementation.
• Help raise the standard of UI and visual design across our digital products, brands and channels.
• Explore how AI and emerging design tools can support ideation, prototyping and better ways of working.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

• Extensive experience in Digital Product Design, UI/UX Design or a similar role, typically gained over 7+ years.
• Exceptional UI and visual design skills, demonstrated through a strong portfolio of polished digital interfaces.
• Experience with the full product design process and user flows, combining strong UI craft with solid UX thinking.
• Hands-on experience building, using or evolving Design Systems, reusable components and patterns.
• Strong Figma skills and a good understanding of responsive design.
• Confidence presenting your work and explaining the thinking behind your design decisions.
• Proactivity and ownership. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, explores ideas and helps move things forward, beyond just the AI aspect.
• Interest in AI and emerging design tools, with openness to exploring how they can support the design process.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Experience with complex digital products, such as B2B platforms or professional tools, is a nice-to-have.
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design, particularly in a healthcare context, is a nice-to-have.
• Prototyping, motion and interaction design are also valuable nice-to-have skills for the level of UI craft we are looking for.
