Job Duties
The Data Product Manager role will help create and manage product roadmaps that leverage Daikin's significant data estate. This role will elicit requirements, identify pain points, and develop opportunities in collaboration with business stakeholders. The individual will identify creative solutions to business needs and define the data and analytical requirements necessary to deliver those solutions. The Data Product Manager will leverage Daikin's data and analytics platform and work with digital leaders to ingest, curate, and deliver the data required to execute the roadmap.
· Product Management: Define and manage product roadmaps; curate and prioritize backlog features; plan product increments, epics, and product narratives; and manage delivery timelines.
· Stakeholder Management: Elicit requirements and understand the voice of the customer, target audiences, and personas. Identify pain points and collaborate with business partners to develop creative solutions.
· Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members across the organization. Partner closely with related teams, including UI/UX, development, and other product management functions.
· Data: Learn and leverage available data within the data estate. Identify data gaps and work with digital leaders to address them through new data sources and/or datasets. Understand applicable regulations and limitations on data use.
· Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions. Promote a data-driven culture.
· Data-Driven Decision-Making: Champion a data-centric culture by empowering business units to leverage data insights for strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
· Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and adoption of data initiatives, driving continuous improvement and value creation.
Remote Work
May work remote 2 days per week.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative Engineering field, plus seven (7) years of experience as a Data Product Manager, Data Scientist, Product Manager, or related occupation involving data and analytics product management. Required experience must include:
· Experience translating business requirements into data and analytics product roadmaps using Agile methodologies (including epics, features, and backlog prioritization).
· Experience collaborating with data engineering and analytics teams to develop scalable data models and pipelines.
· Experience defining and tracking KPIs to measure product adoption and business impact.
· Experience eliciting requirements and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including business users, engineering, and UX teams.
· Experience working with enterprise data platforms, such as data warehouses or analytics platforms.
· Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and regulatory requirements affecting enterprise data use.
· Experience using SQL and Python for data analysis, validation, and data aggregation.
· Experience with Agile tools and methodologies, including Azure DevOps (ADO).
