Digital Twin & BIM Modeller – Energy Infrastructure (f/m/d) Workload: 100% At Axpo, Switzerland's largest producer of renewable energy and a pioneer in European energy markets, we're building the digital twin ecosystem for our substations and powerline networks — and we need someone exceptional to lead the charge. This isn’t a “make models and move on” role. You’ll be creating living digital replicas of critical energy infrastructure — enabling smarter decisions, predictive maintenance, and a future-ready grid. If you want your BIM expertise to have real-world impact at scale, this is it. Your Mission: Create high-fidelity Digital Twins and As-Is BIM models of substations and powerlines from point cloud survey data and asset documentation — meeting Axpo’s exacting standards. Integrate multi-source data (GIS, ERP, CAD) into unified BIM models that serve as a single source of truth for our energy assets. Architect and maintain a standardized BIM component library for substations and powerlines — setting benchmarks for digital representation. Deliver IFC exports with clean schemas and rigorous data structures that ensure smooth interoperability across platforms and stakeholders. Collaborate across disciplines with specialists in IFC, Revit, and beyond — ensuring model consistency, quality, and interoperability. Drive model-based quantity take-offs and cost calculations, turning geometry into actionable intelligence. Participate in internal hackathons to push for innovation in automation and process optimization of modeling practices. What Makes You the Right Fit: A background in electrical or mechanical engineering — or an equally compelling portfolio that speaks for itself. Master-level Revit proficiency backed by 5+ years of hands-on experience and a portfolio that proves it. At least 3 years of dedicated BIM modeling for infrastructure projects. Ability to automate Revit workflows with Dynamo/Python — because you know the real power is in scalability. Deep fluency in OPEN BIM, IFC schema, and the full BIM process landscape: Use Cases, Quality Control, CDE, EIR, BEP — you don’t just know the acronyms, you live them. Excellent English communication skills — written and spoken. You’re self-driven, collaborative, and thrive in cross-functional teams. What Sets You Apart: Autodesk Certified Professional or equivalent BIM/Revit certifications. Fluency in Python and Dynamo for workflow automation — you see repetitive tasks as problems to solve, not accept. Hands-on experience with point cloud processing and clean-up. German language skills (oral and written) — a strong plus (but not mandatory) in our Swiss-headquartered environment.
