If you do, then you might be suited to being a Direct Payments Assistant. An opportunity has arisen for a direct payments assistant to work within our Adult Social Care finance team. You will be supporting people who have chosen to arrange their own care and support via a direct payment. The direct payments team work with the community teams across East Sussex. We cover a telephone line, answering questions from members of the public and internal teams. You will provide office support to ensure that direct payments are correctly processed and monitored. Our team provide advice and guidance, acting as the main point of contact for direct payments, covering the adult social care systems, direct payment helpline and email inbox. We are looking for candidates who: Have the ability to record proficiently whilst gathering information via the telephone Have the ability to manage their own workload and prioritise work Have the ability to manage constant and conflicting demands, often to meet tight deadlines Can deal with customers with a wide variety of need and vulnerabilities Have the ability to work constructively with colleagues as part of a team Please download the job description and person specification for more information.
