Position Overview

We are looking for a Direct Response Copywriter who can turn marketing strategy into compelling words that drive action, generate leads, and help childcare businesses grow.

You will write conversion-focused copy across Meta and Google ads, landing pages, email and SMS campaigns, and video scripts. Your work will help childcare centers attract local families, generate inquiries, book tours, and increase enrollments.

This is not a role for someone who simply writes attractive copy. We need a performance-minded writer who understands buyer psychology, develops compelling hooks and offers, and knows how to turn customer insights into messaging that converts.

You will work closely with strategists, designers, videographers, and other marketing specialists to develop, test, and improve campaigns across multiple client accounts. If you take ownership, move quickly, enjoy experimenting with new ideas, and measure success by results rather than words alone, this could be the opportunity for you.

Compensation

  • Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience.
  • Benefits: A full benefits package is included.

Why You Should Work Here

  • Work That Matters: You transform lives by connecting families who need quality child care with the providers who serve them.
  • Recession-Proof Growth: An established, fast-growing company that continues to thrive while many competitors struggle.
  • Leadership That Has Your Back: A supportive, attentive team that answers your questions and helps you grow, professionally and personally.
  • An Owner Who Shows Up: Our owner is actively involved in the business—not just a name on the door.
  • Small-Team Feel: A friendly, tight-knit environment where you are a person, not a headcount.
  • Remote-First Flexibility: Work remotely while staying connected to a fast-moving, collaborative team.
  • Top-of-Market Pay: We pay competitively to attract exceptional talent and reward valuable contributions.
  • Train to Be the Best: Access professional development, training resources, and opportunities to sharpen your copywriting and marketing skills.
  • A Workspace That Feels Alive: Our virtual office keeps the team connected and engaged day to day.
  • Quarterly Town Halls: Get regular company updates so you understand our performance, priorities, and direction.
  • The Dream-On Program: Each year, our CEO grants multiple wishes pulled straight from team members' dream boards.
  • 25 Days Off: A full 25 paid days off per year, because we want you to have a real life outside work.
  • Paid Days to Give Back: Four paid days a year to volunteer with any charity you choose.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 90 days, you will understand our clients, brand voices, campaign objectives, and copywriting standards. You will begin producing conversion-focused copy independently and collaborating effectively with the wider team.

Ongoing, you will be measured on:

  • Conversion-Focused Copy: Produce persuasive copy that drives measurable action across ads, landing pages, emails, SMS campaigns, and video scripts.
  • Compelling Hooks and Offers: Develop attention-grabbing hooks, strong value propositions, and relevant offers that motivate parents to take the next step.
  • Campaign Performance: Contribute to improved lead generation, booked tours, inquiries, and enrollments through effective messaging.
  • Creative Testing: Develop multiple copy variations to support structured testing and ongoing campaign optimization.
  • Customer Insight: Translate audience research, customer objections, and parent motivations into relevant, persuasive messaging.
  • Brand Adaptability: Maintain each client's unique voice while applying proven direct response principles across multiple accounts.
  • Collaboration and Delivery: Work effectively with strategists, designers, and videographers to deliver high-quality copy on schedule.
  • Ownership and Initiative: Identify opportunities to improve messaging, propose new approaches, and move work forward without waiting for constant direction.

A Typical Week Might Include

  • Writing and refining Meta and Google ad copy designed to capture attention and generate qualified leads.
  • Developing landing page headlines, value propositions, calls to action, and conversion-focused page copy.
  • Creating email and SMS sequences that nurture leads and encourage parents to book tours or take the next step.
  • Writing video scripts and creative concepts for paid advertising campaigns.
  • Researching target audiences, parent motivations, customer objections, and competing childcare providers.
  • Developing alternative hooks, headlines, offers, and calls to action for campaign testing.
  • Reviewing campaign performance and collaborating with strategists to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Working with designers and videographers to ensure creative execution supports the intended message.
  • Managing copywriting priorities across multiple client accounts while meeting deadlines.

Key Competencies

  • Direct Response Mindset: You understand that copy must persuade people to take action, not simply sound clever or polished.
  • Conversion-Focused Creativity: You combine compelling ideas with a clear understanding of what motivates people to act.
  • Audience Empathy: You understand how to speak to customer needs, frustrations, motivations, and objections.
  • Testing and Optimization: You enjoy developing variations, learning from performance data, and improving your work based on evidence.
  • Adaptability: You can move between different brands, audiences, formats, and campaign objectives without losing quality.
  • Ownership Mindset: You take responsibility for your work, meet deadlines, and proactively identify ways to improve results.
  • Speed and Efficiency: You work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing clarity, accuracy, or persuasive quality.
  • Collaborative Communication: You work well with strategists and creative specialists, receive feedback constructively, and explain your creative decisions clearly.
  • Attention to Detail: You produce polished, accurate copy with strong grammar, consistent messaging, and clear calls to action.

This Role Is Not for You If

  • You prioritize clever wording over conversions and measurable business results.
  • You prefer writing long-form brand content exclusively and have little interest in direct response marketing.
  • You struggle to develop multiple creative angles or variations for testing.
  • You need constant direction before taking ownership of an assignment.
  • You are uncomfortable receiving feedback, reviewing performance data, or revising copy based on results.
  • You find it difficult to manage deadlines across multiple clients and campaigns.
  • You prefer working in isolation rather than collaborating with strategists and creative teams.
  • You are unavailable to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience writing direct response copy for digital marketing campaigns.
  • A portfolio demonstrating copy you have personally written, ideally including performance-focused advertising and conversion-driven campaigns.
  • Strong copywriting skills across multiple formats, including paid ads, landing pages, email, SMS, and video scripts.
  • A solid understanding of persuasive writing, audience awareness, hooks, offers, value propositions, and calls to action.
  • The ability to adapt messaging to different audiences, brands, and campaign objectives.
  • Experience developing copy variations for creative testing and optimization.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to translate customer insights into compelling messaging.
  • Excellent written English, grammar, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Strong time management and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • A reliable remote work setup and availability during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a digital marketing agency.
  • Experience writing copy for lead generation, local service businesses, or multi-location brands.
  • Previous experience in child care, education, family services, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with Meta Ads, Google Ads, landing page optimization, and conversion tracking.
  • Experience interpreting campaign performance data to inform copy improvements.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation, email marketing, and SMS platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with designers, video editors, media buyers, and marketing strategists.
  • Experience writing campaigns focused on lead generation, appointment bookings, and customer acquisition.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, 100% remote position. Candidates must be available to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

You will collaborate with an international team of marketing professionals, manage copywriting assignments across multiple client accounts, and contribute directly to campaigns designed to deliver measurable business results.

We value initiative, creative thinking, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, test new approaches, and develop your skills while working on campaigns for child care businesses.
