Direct Sales Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Exceed growth targets.
• Work with General Sales to bring Morningstar Direct opportunities from trial to close.
• Forecast, identify, and proactively uncover new business groups and opportunities within new and existing clients and segments.
• Develop key relationships with clients and prospects through proactively uncovering their business needs and challenges and presenting recommendations on how our solution offerings fit into their overall goal and strategies
• Employ winning strategies to maintain and grow adoption of Morningstar Direct and leverage the installed user base to deploy additional solutions.
• Master product demonstrations and knowledge of product capabilities and benefits.
• Develop growth plans for accounts and territory.
• Demonstrate attitude of teamwork and relationship building within, and outside the company.

Qualifications

• A passionate interest in the financial services industry
• Candidates should have 5+ years of business development, client service consultant (CSC) and/or account management experience in the finance and investment industry.
• A proven track record of acquiring new business, successful account management, and proven track record of exceeding prior targets.
• Hands-on, organized individuals who can build long-term client relationships.
• Strong leadership, long-range planning, and time-management skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities and the ability to deliver professional and persuasive presentations.
• Ability to understand complex investment requirements.
• A bachelor's degree required;
• Nice to have MBA or CFA a plus.
