Primary Responsibilities: Lead a team that is consolidating multiple instances of the application into single instance (.Net Based) Establish and control code quality standards, development best practices, defect-free code delivery for the teams Enable teams to be successful in modern designs and patterns by providing guidance, mentoring, and code reviews Propose and drive automation to reduce efforts of development Portfolio management - Hiring, Performance and compensation management of his span, Employee retention Manage performance and development of team members, including policy administration, compliance, coaching, disciplinary action and recognition Ability to influence team members, peers, customers and stakeholders Managing team of 30+ team members Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: Bachelors (BS / BE) in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience 7+ years of experience building and shipping production web enabled software in a scaled distributed environment using a variety of modern technologies (.Net, JavaScript, Node, Angular) and a variety of modern database technologies (MS SQL) 3+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems, including RESTful web services Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy Expertise with public cloud concepts & experience influencing software engineering best practices Good understanding of Development processes and tools - Sonar, Jenkins, GitHub, CI / CD Thorough understanding of fundamental software engineering and computer science principles: object-oriented design, structured design, databases, algorithms, data structures, usability, debugging, and configuration management Flexible to accommodate different time zone across globe Proven excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal skills with the ability to create and maintain strong relationships with members of cross departmental teams Proven sharp problem-solving skills and ability to resolve ambiguous requirements and drive clarity At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
