Role Description The Director Budget & Reporting is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the company’s budgeting processes and financial reporting and decision support activities. This role includes developing, managing, and monitoring annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The director prepares, reviews, and analyzes financial reports and dashboards, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with organizational goals. This role will lead Clearly’s business forecasting in a fast-paced high growth environment. This role will provide analysis in all decision-making matters operational, financial and strategic. The company provides an opportunity to grow with an entrepreneurial business in the midst of expansive growth. Reporting to the CFO, this position will drive the financial planning and decision support agenda playing a key role in the Company’s next phase of growth. The successful candidate will combine a strong analytical mindset with strong technical skills, be detailed oriented, be a self-starter, self-motivated and intensely curious about how things work. Driving results through influence of others while setting goals and delivering against expectations are key to success for this role.
Planning & Budgeting
· Lead the overall financial planning activities of the business including the annual budget process, monthly forecasts and quarterly Latest Estimates
· Develop scenarios of the P&Ls for decision making by the Executive team
· Lead the monthly reviews of expense spending across selling, marketing and commercial planning categories to understand actual expenses year to date and year to go in order to establish latest estimates with full adherence to the original budgets including reporting any deviations to budgets and planned spend
Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and long-term forecasts
· Lead the IBP process end-to-end, aligning commercial, finance, and operations stakeholders around a single demand and supply outlook, and driving executive-level decision-making on volume, revenue, and margin trade-offs across all product formats, all routes-to-markets and retailers
· Continuously capture, monitor and evaluate commercial risks and opportunities across business, including competitive dynamics, pricing trends, channel performance, and consumer demand signals—translating insights into strategic recommendations that inform executive decision-making and drive revenue growth
· Lead the Monthly Business Review for the management team including detailed shipment forecasts, actual financial results for the current month, year to date, year to go and full year revised forecasts including scenarios based on risks & opportunities for revenues and spend
· Actively participate in the Long-term strategic planning of the business
Reporting & Analysis
· Deliver detailed monthly analysis for Net sales per case including volume and price variances as well as mix implications across product mix and route-to-market mix
· Serve as the key contributor to the preparation of the quarterly board presentation by preparing & validating all revenue-related content—including performance results, trends, and forward-looking outlook to ensure accurate, insightful reporting
· Be the key liaison between the technology team and finance for all reporting needs while developing and delivering key monthly reports including financial consolidation reports, logistics expenses, brokerage, etc.
· Lead the implementation and continuous deployment of month end reports for finance and supply chain while working across finance and the Commercial Planning team

· Active participant in any management meetings and quarterly Board Meetings, as needed
· Ability to work through ad hoc analysis and presentations with the CEO and CFO as well as other members of the management team, as needed
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Financial Reporting and working with Financial Statements to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
- Candidates should possess advanced skills in spreadsheet and financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel, BI tools) and experience improving reporting systems.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
- Beneficial experience includes prior leadership in budgeting and reporting functions, familiarity with consumer packaged goods or beverage industries, and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in remote, cross-functional environments.
- Experience in an entrepreneurial environment is ideal with a self-starter mindset in a virtual work-from-home environment is essential
