First Citizens Capital Equipment Finance is a leading provider of large-ticket equipment financing solutions. Working directly with middle market and large cap businesses, the unit specializes in providing equipment loans and leases with flexible terms and rates tailored to the equipment and credit strength of the borrower.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Reporting to the Managing Director – Group Head the role is responsible for managing existing indirect bank relationships as well as developing new indirect relationships to drive origination of lease and loan volume with companies with revenues greater than

$75.0mm. This position requires knowledge and contacts in the bank and non-bank market and also requires harvesting business via internal bank referrals.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Focus on originating lease and loan transactions ranging from $3MM to $100MM for FCB’s bank balance sheet and the Sixty-First CF private credit JV via leveraging industry partners
• Work with Mid Market Bankers to drive Cross-sell of other FCB bank products
• Interface with C Suite level executives
• Solicit and origination transactions with all types of equipment types and industries including; construction, manufacturing, automotive, energy, trucking, Jones Act Marine
• Act as deal advocate using strong credit skills in working with the underwriting team to facilitate transactions through closing.
• Travel as necessary to meet with clients and attend industry and related conferences

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Direct origination of transactions ranging from $3MM to $100MM OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Direct origination of transactions ranging from $3MM to $100MM

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Economics preferred
• 8 years in an Equipment finance deal origination role with strong understanding of credit, collateral and structuring. For both bank profile credits and non-bank profile credits
• Structure finance experience
• Strong track record of building relationships and closing transactions .
• Strong reputation in industry and strong base of existing clients and contacts.
• Previous credit background with bank and non –bank private credit experience a plus.
• Experienced with all types of equipment types and industries including; construction, manufacturing, automotive, energy, trucking, chemicals, plastics and packaging, Jones Act marine

Additional Information

If hired NY, NJ, or IL the base pay for this position is generally between $175,000.00 and $200,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
