Company Overview
Rex is a privately held ecosystem of entrepreneurial ventures led by Peter Rex, spanning real estate private equity, technology, insurance, and AI. We build businesses and investment platforms that generate both exceptional financial returns and meaningful societal impact. At the core of our strategy is investor engagement: attracting aligned capital partners who share our long-term vision. We are building the most compelling investor-facing ecosystem in the private markets. The role offers exposure to a uniquely diverse platform, combining institutional-quality real estate and high-growth tech ventures, all aligned under a singular mission-driven vision.
About Us
Our mission is to catalyze human flourishing through stewardship, serving people in all nations. We seek a transcendent impact, second to none, crossing geographies and making a permanent mark on history.
We aim to uplift investors, foster flourishing families, create enduring trust, and contribute to a more beautiful world through our investments, products and services, and new ventures.
Our investments are primarily in real estate, with additional allocations to tech, energy, and alternatives, employing a downside-protected, long-term approach to investing. We are grounded in timeless morals and seek to preserve and grow both investor capital and our own.
We serve a diverse ecosystem that includes:
- Multifamily apartment management with 20,000+ apartments
- Hotel and office buildings
- Tech ventures
- Insurance companies
Our businesses, with over 500 employees, are primarily throughout Texas and Florida, but we aim to expand globally with our products and services, impacting people in all countries.
Mindset
- Fanatical Investor Focus: Serve our investors by preserving their wealth first and foremost and secondarily seeking to maximize their return on equity while fostering human progress through stewardship of the assets and companies.
- Ecosystem Alignment: Execute in a spirit of partnership across all components of the Rex ecosystem, including multifamily and other real estate assets as well as tech companies.
- Missionary Zeal: Care about investor stewardship and advancing the vision of catalyzing human flourishing.
The Opportunity
Rex is seeking a Director, Capital Markets to own direct LP capital formation across our private equity real estate platform. We are expanding aggressively, backed by a proven record of executing major multifamily transactions. Each acquisition requires $10M to $30M in non-controlling LP equity, and the capital pool we intend to deploy over the coming years runs into the billions. This leader turns that appetite into a repeatable, high-conviction investor engine. This role is anchored by three core mandates. First, originate and close direct LP relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, independent RIAs, and their advisors, focused on true LP capital rather than institutional JV equity. Second, own the capital formation process across multiple live deals at once, from first call to funded commitment, working in lockstep with acquisitions and senior leadership. Third, build the team and infrastructure behind it: the pipeline discipline, investor CRM, reporting rhythm, and associate bench that scale raising capacity well beyond any single person. Capital stacks typically combine agency debt, preferred equity, and passive LP equity, and this leader must speak that language fluently with investors and internal partners alike. The ideal candidate has 5-8+ years of experience in private equity real estate capital raising, private wealth, or a closely related investor-facing role, with a demonstrable track record of raising LP equity from private capital. They are a principal-level presence: credible in the room with a family office principal, relentless on the phone, and comfortable carrying a number. They lead associates by example, hold themselves to a competitive athlete's standard, and show a bias toward action. They combine sharp commercial judgment with a fiduciary's respect for investor trust. Not for mercenaries. Only for missionaries. This leader must be deeply aligned with Rex's mission to catalyze human flourishing through disciplined stewardship of investor capital. Fully remote.
About the Role
Rex is hiring a Director, Capital Markets to turn an active, capitalized acquisitions platform into a dependable flow of committed LP equity. The platform has real transaction velocity, and the mandate is to build the investor engine that keeps pace with it and then outruns it.
This role owns outcomes across origination, relationship management, and closing, not just activity. You will operate as the connective tissue between investors, acquisitions, asset management, and senior leadership, ensuring that every live deal has a clear equity plan, a disciplined pipeline, and a named path to funded commitments. You will carry a number and be accountable for it.
You will cultivate deep, trusted relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, single-family offices, independent RIAs, and the advisors who steer large private capital allocations. This role does not involve raising JV equity from institutional groups. You are building lasting relationships with investors who allocate their own capital without requiring control, and you are earning their conviction through judgment, transparency, and follow-through.
This is a hands-on, high-impact seat for a principal-level capital raiser who wants to build something durable inside a mission-driven enterprise. Must be missionary to the bone.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate, develop, and close direct LP relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, independent RIAs, and their advisors
- Own the capital formation process across multiple live transactions simultaneously, from first call through funded commitment
- Carry a defined raise target and be accountable for equity commitments against each acquisition's $10M to $30M requirement
- Partner in lockstep with acquisitions and senior leadership to align equity timelines, deal narratives, and investor communications
- Present Rex's investment thesis, track record, and live opportunities with clarity and conviction, tailored to the sophistication of each investor
- Explain and field questions on capital stacks combining agency debt, preferred equity, and passive LP equity
- Build and maintain a disciplined investor pipeline, with clear stages, conversion metrics, and follow-up standards
- Manage the investor CRM, ensuring clean data, consistent usage, and real-time visibility into relationship status
- Establish a reporting rhythm for leadership covering pipeline, commitments, conversion, and forecasted raise by deal
- Oversee preparation of pitch materials, investor decks, and data room content, ensuring accuracy and polish
- Manage investors through diligence, subscription, and closing, in coordination with legal, finance, and investor relations
- Represent Rex at investor events, conferences, and networking forums to expand the private capital network
- Uphold fiduciary standards in every investor interaction, protecting trust as Rex's most valuable asset
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in private equity real estate capital raising, private wealth, or a closely related investor facing role
- Demonstrable track record of raising LP equity from private capital, with the ability to speak to specific raise sizes, investor types, and outcomes
- Established relationships, or a proven ability to build them, with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, independent RIAs, and wealth advisors
- Fluency in real estate capital structures, including agency debt, preferred equity, and passive LP equity, and the ability to explain them credibly to sophisticated investors
- Strong grasp of multifamily acquisitions, underwriting fundamentals, and the return profile of value-add strategies
- Principal-level presence: credible in the room with a family office principal, composed under scrutiny, and comfortable carrying a number
- Relentless on the phone, with a bias toward action and a high-volume outbound discipline
- Experience building or managing pipeline processes, investor CRM systems, and reporting cadences
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop associates, leading by example and holding a competitive athlete's standard
- Sharp commercial judgment paired with a fiduciary's respect for investor trust
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the polish to represent Rex in high-stakes investor settings
- Ability to manage multiple live deals, investors, and timelines simultaneously without dropping a thread
- Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant securities licensing or advanced finance training is a plus
- Mission-driven and deeply aligned with disciplined stewardship of investor capital and the belief that business can catalyze human flourishing
