From day one, you’ll be an integral part of a focused team where you can make a real impact. You’ll be surrounded by an open, collaborative culture that embraces diversity, recognition, professional development and, most importantly, you.

Are you ready to make your impact?

About The Role

We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of cybersecurity and privacy consulting that leverages our integrated suite of services, spanning privacy program development and management, regulatory readiness and compliance, data protection assessments, privacy technology implementation, and data governance, across all major markets around the world. Our team works at the intersection of privacy and technology, advising clients on complex regulatory landscapes while delivering hands-on, practical solutions.

We are looking for a Director to join our Privacy team within the Cybersecurity practice. In this role, you will lead and execute privacy consulting or advisory engagements across service areas including risk assessments, regulatory readiness and compliance, data governance, program and policy development, and the configuration and implementation of privacy management platforms. Beyond client delivery, you will contribute to client relationship management, business development, and the mentorship of junior team members.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strategic mindset and the flexibility to work across diverse industries and subject areas, including emerging privacy technologies such as Data Inventory and Mapping solutions, Consent Management Platforms, and Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) systems. This is a hands-on role that demands strong organizational skills, project management skills, deep privacy subject matter expertise, and technical curiosity. We are looking for someone with 5–8 years of experience in privacy and/or cybersecurity consulting who can manage complex workstreams, engage and communicate with clients directly, and deliver high-quality work with limited oversight.

What You'll Do

In this role, the Director will lead client engagements and internal initiatives at the intersection of privacy, cybersecurity, and technology. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

  • Assist in the configuration and implementation of privacy management platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc, Ketch) to support the deployment of client-facing privacy program solutions, including Data Inventory and Data Mapping, Consent Management Platforms (CMP), Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) workflows, vendor and Third-Party Risk Management portals, and privacy notice and policy management tools;
  • Support the preparation of a variety of client materials (e.g., strategic memos, project status updates, privacy assessments, presentations, policy and procedure documents, gap analysis reports, regulatory or compliance updates and both external and internal communications content, etc.) in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Advise clients on consent models for website tracking technologies across websites and mobile applications; support the development and deployment of website scanning strategies and recommend practical technical measures to support consent and preference management obligations, including assisting with the configuration and rollout of consent management tools;
  • Manage engagement workstreams, supervise junior team members, and serve as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders;
  • Manage resource allocation and project financials and budgets as required;
  • Contribute to business development through proposal development, thought leadership, and the creation of standardized methodologies and reusable work products; and
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving privacy regulations to continuously enhance the quality and relevance of client solutions.

How You'll Grow

This is a great opportunity to deepen and expand your expertise across the full spectrum of privacy and cybersecurity consulting, taking on greater ownership of client engagements and complex workstreams across diverse industries. In addition, you will have the opportunity to sharpen your leadership and client management capabilities by collaborating closely with FTI leadership and teams and your clients on a day-to-day basis. You will also have visibility into business development activities, helping to shape proposals and client strategies, while building a professional network across a broad range of sectors and privacy disciplines.

  • Strong working knowledge of privacy regulations and frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, and other applicable U.S. state level, federal, and international privacy laws, and their practical application in a consulting or corporate environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships, lead project workstreams, and mentor or oversee junior team members;
  • Ability to travel to FTI offices and client sites as needed; and
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship.
