About All Points Broadband

All Points Broadband is a fast-growing fiber internet provider on a mission to close the digital divide. We build and operate fiber networks that bring reliable, high-speed internet to underserved communities across Virginia and beyond, giving residents and businesses the connectivity they need to thrive.

We're a close-knit, fast-moving team headquartered in Richmond, VA. Everyone here has real ownership over their work and a direct hand in our growth. If you want a job where you can learn fast, take on real responsibility, and see the impact of your work in the communities we serve, you'll fit right in here.

The Opportunity

As our Director of Finance, you lead FP&A and the forecasting cycles that guide our decisions. You report directly to the CFO and work closely with the Controller, data analytics team, and other executive leadership. You own monthly variance analysis, CapEx and Construction tracking, operational KPI review, and forecasting of the business. You also partner directly with operational department leaders, giving them the numbers and the analysis they need to make decisions. You will build models and run analysis while you lead a team.

What You’ll Do:

FP&A and Forecasting

  • Own the long-range financial model, the annual budget, and rolling reforecasts.
  • Turn business drivers, such as fiber passings, customer market share penetration, ARPU, and churn, into multi-year P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow projections.
  • Run monthly variance analysis and explain what moved and why.

Business Partnership

  • Act as the finance partner to Engineering, Construction, Operations, Sales and Marketing, and Supply Chain leaders.
  • Review department spend, staffing plans, and productivity with them.
  • Prepare financial packages and recommendations for executive leadership, the Board, and external investors and lenders.

Capital, Pricing, and Unit Economics

  • Track CapEx against plan and evaluate payback periods.
  • Build unit-cost models and monitor CAC and customer lifetime value.
  • Evaluate pricing and promotions, with a focus on protecting margin and cash.

Team and Systems

  • Coach and develop the finance and FP&A team while you do hands-on analysis alongside them.
  • Work with Accounting, Data Analytics, and IT to improve data workflows, BI dashboards, and variance reporting.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 7+ years of corporate finance and FP&A experience.
  • 3+ years managing finance professionals.
  • Experience building and forecasting 3-statement financial models and running monthly variance analysis.
  • Experience with BI reporting tools. Strong preference for Snowflake, PowerBI, Ramp, and NetSuite Financials.
  • Skill at turning detailed financial data into clear recommendations for leaders outside finance.
  • Comfort doing hands-on analysis while you lead a team.

Preferred:

  • MBA, CFA, or CPA.
  • Experience in telecommunications, fiber, utilities, or another capital-intensive industry.
  • Experience preparing reports for Executive Leaders, Board of Directors, Investors, and Lenders.
