Atlas Partners is proud to be partnering with one of Victoria’s major public health services on the appointment of a Director Business Partnering, a senior finance leadership role reporting directly to the CFO.
The organisation serves one of Melbourne’s fastest growing communities through a network of hospitals and community and mental health services. This role leads the Finance Business Partnering function at the centre of that organisation.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the Business Partnering team, building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Acting as trusted adviser to the CFO, Executive and clinical and operational leaders
- Leading the annual budget and forecast, aligned to Department of Health funding and activity parameters
- Driving the financial sustainability agenda, including oversight of efficiency, productivity and revenue improvement initiatives
- Providing financial leadership on business cases, investments and strategic projects
- Overseeing government grants, funding submissions and diverse income streams
- Driving improvement across financial processes, systems and reporting using technology and automation
- CA or CPA qualified
- Healthcare sector experience desirable similar large complex organisations
- A leadership style that gives capable people autonomy, stays available underneath it, and coaches and improves overall team capability
- The presence to build trust quickly with Executive and clinical stakeholders, and to position finance as a trusted adviser rather than a reporting function
