Is this job info correct?

Description This position leads Gillette Children's Financial Planning & Analysis function, setting the strategy for how the organization plans, forecasts, and understands its financial performance. The Director builds and leads a modern FP&A capability — one that uses data, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to give service line and executive leaders faster, sharper insights into performance and shifts the function's time from manual reporting toward forward-looking analysis and decision support. This role owns the annual budget process, rolling forecasts, long-range financial planning, and service line/product line analysis, and partners closely with the CFO, Controller, and operational leaders across the organization. This is a hybrid position, with expectations to work onsite 2-3 days per week, and as needed for the role. The onsite location is in St. Paul, MN. The selected candidate must live in MN or WI. Compensation & Benefits The annual salary range for this opportunity is $136,177 to $204,256, with a median salary of $170,216/annually. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience and internal equity. Salary is just one component of the compensation package for employees. Gillette supports career progression and offers a competitive benefits package, including a retirement saving match, tuition and certification reimbursement, paid time off, and health and wellness benefits for .5 FTE and above. Primary Job Responsibilities Lead the organization's financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including the annual operating budget, rolling forecasts, long-range financial planning, and strategic scenario modeling. Partner with executive and operational leaders to provide financial insights, evaluate new programs and investments, and support informed business decisions. Develop and enhance financial reporting, analytics, and decision support tools that improve organizational performance, increase self-service reporting, and leverage automation and AI to drive efficiency. Oversee cost accounting, reimbursement analysis, and financial modeling to monitor organizational performance, reimbursement trends, and strategic opportunities. Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, CHGME, MERC, and other reimbursement regulations, including oversight of the annual Medicare Cost Report and third-party payer contract analysis. Lead and develop the FP&A team by establishing strategic priorities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and building advanced analytical capabilities. Drive financial process improvements, support organizational quality initiatives, and provide financial education and guidance to leaders across the organization. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience leading a financial planning and analysis function in a medium-to-large organization, including direct people management. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proven ability to lead a technical function through change — building the case for new tools and processes, and bringing staff and stakeholders along. Strong data and analytics fluency: comfortable evaluating and selecting tools, working with data teams, and understanding the tradeoffs of automation and AI-assisted analysis (including where human judgment must remain in the loop). Ability to work independently, set priorities, manage to deadlines, and delegate effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward initiating improvement rather than waiting for direction. Proven ability to operate in a matrix structure across multiple departments and stakeholders. Ability to model and communicate the operational and financial impact of business decisions, contract terms, and new programs. Demonstrated experience modernizing FP&A processes — for example, migrating from spreadsheet-based planning to an EPM/planning platform, building self-service reporting, or deploying predictive/AI-assisted forecasting tools. Experience with cost accounting and decision support systems, and with product line/service line revenue and margin forecasting. Experience translating complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-financial executive and operational audiences. Preferred MBA or MHA. Experience in a healthcare or hospital finance setting, including exposure to reimbursement methodology (Medicare/Medicaid, MS-DRG/APR-DRG), payer contract modeling, or Medicare Cost Reporting. Experience implementing or administering an EPM/planning platform (e.g., Infor, Adaptive Insights, OneStream, Axiom, Prophix) or BI/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Familiarity with applying AI/machine learning tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, or similar) to forecasting, variance analysis, or financial reporting automation. Experience developing or evaluating alternative payer reimbursement models. At Gillette Children’s, we foster a culture where every team member feels a sense of belonging and purpose. We are dedicated to building an environment where all feel welcomed, respected, and supported. Our values are embedded at the heart of our culture. We act first from love, embrace the bigger picture, and work side-by-side with our patients, families, and colleagues to help every child create their own story. Together, we work to ensure patients of all backgrounds and abilities reach their full potential.
