Description
Our Director of Gift Annuity Compliance is the recognized authority behind our state registration and annual filing services for charitable gift annuity programs. In this role you will lead a team of three compliance professionals and personally own the precise, accurate annual filings for a portfolio of 80+ for-profit and nonprofit clients. You will also stay at the forefront of the evolving landscape of state laws, policies, and procedures governing charitable gift annuities, so that PG Calc and our clients can rely on your expertise.
Your Background
You are likely an attorney, paralegal, accountant, or actuary with deep knowledge of charitable gift annuities, gift planning, contract law, and/or regulatory compliance. You take pride in getting the details right, and you enjoy mastering complex, rule-based work.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide and strengthen the CGA state regulatory compliance line of business (30%)
- Lead and develop a team of three compliance professionals
- Contribute your expertise to support Sales of the line of business
- Maintain accurate client contracts and communication records in Salesforce
- Refine processes and implement operational efficiencies
- Flag clients at risk of leaving
Own a portfolio of annual filing clients (50%)
- Communicate with clients and gather the information needed to complete each regulatory filing
- Complete filings accurately and on time
- Verify that invoicing is correct
- Request reimbursement of filing fees
Build and share knowledge (10%)
- Train new staff and help them build their expertise
- Keep internal training materials current as regulations change
- Provide intradepartmental training to PG Calc colleagues
- Share your expertise with clients through at least one webinar annually on state registration and annual filing compliance
Serve as CGA subject matter expert (10%)
- Act as the internal authority on CGA compliance, supporting other lines of business, including audits, planned giving program startups, and specific gift situations
- Contribute to annual updates of the CGA Manual

Requirements
Required:
- 5 years experience in gift planning/planned giving, law or regulatory compliance
- 2+ years managing in a hybrid environment
- Love of detail, data driven work
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred:
- Attorney, paralegal, accountant, actuary, or compliance officer
- Confident and effective public speaker/trainer
Job Requirements for Hybrid Work Environment:
- Dedicated Workspace: Must have a home office or workspace that is free of distractions and interruptions to ensure productivity and focus during work hours.
- Reliable Internet Connection: High-speed internet is required to support video conferencing, file sharing, and other work-related technology needs.
- Hybrid Work Commitment: Must be able to reliably commute to the office 2 days per week (Monday/Wednesday) and meet in-person collaboration requirements as needed.
