Team mission
The Louvre. Sagrada Família. The Colosseum. Broadway. Disneyland. The world's 1,000 most visited attractions are where travel intent is highest, where competition is fiercest, and where roughly a third of our business happens. They are also where the marketplace game is changing fastest: vertical specialists compete on price and UX, attractions build their own direct channels, and agentic commerce is turning "get me tickets for tomorrow" into a one-line request. Our ambition is to be the winning marketplace at every one of these places, and the partner of choice for the institutions behind them.
We're looking for an exceptional leader to own this mission end to end: the strategy, the team, the partnerships, and the results for Attractions and Ticketed Experiences (entrance tickets, theme parks, shows and live events), based in Berlin with regular travel to partners and our local offices.
Reporting directly to the VP Supply and Sales, you'll run one of GetYourGuide's core strategic initiatives, setting its direction in the annual strategy process and owning its targets in front of the executive team, with an organisation of roughly 25 reporting to you. But winning at the world's biggest attractions is never a supply-only problem: a direct contract with a museum only pays off if Product merchandises the tickets well, Marketing wins the search moment, Tech keeps the connection live, and Pricing keeps us competitive. You'll be the single owner who brings those functions together around one plan and one outcome, shaping roadmaps you don't control and building conviction across the executive team. We're looking for someone who is as comfortable being a senior strategic individual contributor as they are leading leaders, and who knows when each is needed.
Your mission
- Own the multi-year strategy and results for Attractions and Ticketed Experiences, from the winning aspiration to quarterly targets, reporting progress to the executive team and board-level forums
- Bring Product, Marketing, Tech, Pricing and Sales together around one plan, aligning roadmaps and resolving trade-offs across functions that don't report to you
- Lead enterprise sales and key account motions, personally negotiating direct relationships with the world's most iconic heritage institutions, museums, theme parks and live-event operators
- Drive innovative commercial models to unlock our most strategic partnerships: exclusive allotments, multi-year agreements, co-funded campaigns and principal-model deals, and build out our Cultural Affairs playbook for government-owned and hard-to-reach venues
- Own the levers that keep us competitive where inventory is scarce: availability solutions for daily-sellout attractions, price parity, connectivity, and our vertically integrated operations at select flagship sites
- Lead and develop a multi-layered team built around senior team leads, while representing GetYourGuide as a thought leader with top attractions, at industry conferences and on stage at our supplier summits
Your toolkit
- 10+ years running a business or business unit, not just a function, in a high-growth marketplace, SaaS, OTA, or travel-tech, including 5+ years leading leaders and growing multi-layered teams of 20 or more
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional programs where Product, Marketing and Tech didn't report to you, aligning roadmaps and delivering joint outcomes through influence rather than authority
- Outstanding stakeholder management at executive level; you build conviction with data and a clear thesis, and make peers better rather than working around them
- Hands-on experience closing and managing complex enterprise partnerships, with a solid grasp of supply economics: allocation, breakage risk, net rates, parity and connectivity
- Fluency across product roadmaps, marketing ROAS and supplier P&Ls, and comfort writing the memo that sets direction and then sitting with a national museum director to make it real
- Entrepreneurial and low-ego, based in Berlin or willing to relocate, with roughly 20% travel to local offices and partners
Extras that give you an edge
- Prior experience as a Director, General Manager or category/business unit owner in a marketplace
- Earlier background in top-tier consulting followed by an operating role
- Deep understanding of the attractions, ticketing or live-entertainment industry and its competitive landscape
- Experience with cultural institutions, public-sector or government-owned venues
- German or other European language skills
