Otis is looking for a Director, Global Network Engineering. This role is responsible for defining and executing the global network architecture and connectivity strategy that supports Otis business operations, manufacturing facilities, digital platforms, offices, data centers, and cloud environments worldwide. This role provides technical and strategic leadership for the design, engineering, automation, security, resilience, and modernization of the enterprise network ecosystem. The Director leads the transformation of network capabilities through adoption of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, software-defined networking, automation, AI-enabled operations, and Zero Trust security principles. The role partners closely with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, Digital Engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure the network platform enables business growth, operational continuity, and future technology innovation.

On a typical day you will:

• Lead the development and execution of the global network strategy and roadmap supporting business priorities, digital transformation initiatives, and long-term technology objectives.
• Design and govern enterprise-wide network architectures, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, data center, cloud networking, load-balancing, and secure remote connectivity solutions.
• Establish and maintain resilient network infrastructure supporting global operations, manufacturing sites, cloud platforms, offices, and data centers.
• Drive modernization initiatives that enhance scalability, reliability, automation, security, and operational efficiency across network environments.
• Engineer and optimize hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity solutions across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Lead implementation of automation and AI-enabled capabilities to improve operational intelligence, service quality, network performance, and issue resolution.
• Partner with Cybersecurity leadership to implement and programmatically enforce enterprise security standards, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and network compliance requirements across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Establish technical standards and provide technical leadership for large-scale transformation programs, infrastructure upgrades, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic business initiatives impacting multiple regions and functions.
• Oversee network resiliency, business continuity, disaster recovery readiness, and service availability to minimize operational risk.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and Influence cross-functional decisions and drive alignment among infrastructure, security, cloud, application, and business teams on complex technical initiatives.

Leadership & Scope

• Serves as the senior engineering authority for global network architecture and connectivity solutions.
• Leads complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple technologies, regions, and business operations.
• Provides technical direction and mentorship to engineering resources, project teams, managed service providers, and strategic partners.
• Influences enterprise technology decisions and investment priorities through expertise in networking, cloud connectivity, cybersecurity, automation, and infrastructure modernization.

What you will need to be successful:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience designing, engineering, and supporting large-scale global enterprise network environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in enterprise networking technologies including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, and network security.
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, EIGRP, VPN, network segmentation, and modern connectivity architectures.
• Significant experience designing and supporting hybrid and multi-cloud networking solutions across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience implementing network automation, infrastructure-as-code, orchestration, and AI-enabled operational capabilities.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, Zero Trust architectures, and enterprise compliance requirements.
• Experience leading large-scale infrastructure transformation programs with global business impact.
• Proven ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems requiring coordination across multiple disciplines and stakeholder groups.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical teams, senior leadership, and external partners.

Preferred:

• Industry certifications such as Cisco, cloud provider, security, or network architecture certifications.
• Experience supporting global manufacturing, operational technology, or mission-critical business environments.
• Experience managing complex vendor ecosystems and strategic telecommunications partnerships.

The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $233,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
