Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is seeking a Director, Global Sales, Southeast & LATAM to join our Commercial - Global Sales team. Are you a master of craft? This is a remote position based in the Miami metropolitan area , operating as part of the Mandarin Oriental Corporate Office in New York and the wider Global Sales team . The Director, Global Sales, Southeast & LATAM is responsible for managing and growing strategic travel industry relationships across the Southeast United States and Spanish-speaking Latin America. The role serves as the primary point of contact for designated managed accounts, developing and executing strategic account plans, strengthening client partnerships, driving revenue and market share growth, and maximizing transient and group business opportunities across Mandarin Oriental's global portfolio through travel agency and advisor partnerships. The position covers the Southeast United States and Spanish-speaking Latin American markets and reports to the Director, Travel Industry, The Americas . This is a remote-based role requiring regular travel throughout the assigned territory. The successful candidate must reside within the Miami metropolitan area. As Director, Global Sales, Southeast & LATAM, you will be responsible for: Manage and develop a portfolio of strategic accounts through planned sales activities aligned with overall Global Sales strategies. Develop and execute comprehensive account plans designed to maximize revenue generation and expand Mandarin Oriental's market share within assigned territories. Achieve or exceed agreed revenue, production, and room-night targets across all assigned accounts. Generate revenue opportunities through travel advisors, agency partners, consortiums, and key industry relationships. Promote and expand participation in the Fan Club preferred agency partner programme through advisor engagement, training, and business development initiatives. Serve as the primary point of contact for travel agency partnerships within the assigned region, leading client engagement strategies and business development opportunities. Collaborate closely with in-market representation partners to ensure alignment with commercial objectives, effective communication, and successful execution of strategic action plans. Lead the planning and execution of annual Global Sales Calendar activities, including roadshows, sales missions, trade shows, workshops, and client events. Host client meetings, hotel site inspections, educational presentations, and familiarisation trips. Develop and maintain accurate account, contact, and activity records within Salesforce. Produce, analyse, and interpret market intelligence, production reports, performance trends, and sales activity results. Participate in internal sales meetings, segment reviews, business planning sessions, and leadership discussions. Monitor economic, competitive, and market developments impacting assigned territories and provide strategic recommendations. Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase Mandarin Oriental's visibility and market penetration. Support broader commercial and sales initiatives as required by the business. Maintain a professional appearance and represent Mandarin Oriental in a manner consistent with the luxury positioning of the brand. Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives. Comply with Mandarin Oriental's standard policies, programmes, and approved corporate travel requirements. As Director, Global Sales, Southeast & LATAM, we expect from you: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline. A minimum of eight years of sales experience within luxury hotel sales, hospitality sales, or a global sales environment. Established travel industry relationships throughout the Southeast United States and/or Spanish-speaking Latin American markets. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding ambitious revenue, production, and business growth objectives. Strong strategic account management, negotiation, relationship-building, and business development capabilities. Demonstrated ability to create and execute account strategies that generate measurable commercial results. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify opportunities for revenue growth across multiple market segments. Flexibility and adaptability in managing changing priorities, competing deadlines, and business demands within a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build constructive and effective relationships both internally and externally. A diplomatic and professional communication style when engaging with clients, travel advisors, business partners, and colleagues. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and control expenses in accordance with company policies. Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English and Spanish , with the ability to conduct business professionally in both languages. Portuguese language proficiency would be considered an advantage. Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory and internationally as required.
